if you want to fly a caldari cruiser, you need to train caldari frigate to IV |

ship:
caldari frig 4 -> caldari cruiser 4 (3)
missiles:
heavy missiles 3(or 4) all missile support skills to 2-3 weapon upgrades 4 (to use t2 ballistic control system and for fittings)
shield tanking:
engineering 3 -> shield management 3(4) shield compensation 3(4) shield operation 4 if you want to use t2 large shield booster
Fitting skills: get them as high as you need to fit your ship to your needs, that might be low or high
engineering (as needed) electronics (as needed) weapon upgrades (recommend 4 asap for missile users) advanced weapon upgrades (this needs weapon upgrades 5 so you should put that off the list for now)
ofc the higher you take these skills the better, but thats what i recommend for starters, then you can continue to take em higher

I usually recommend to most new Caldari pilots to look at the Caracal, see what you need to fly it and then what you need to make it all tech 2.
Base Low Skill Caracal 5x assault missile launchers (bloodclaws) uses the standard missile skill 2x large shield extenders, 1x photon hardner, 1x invuln hardner and 1x AB 1x SPR and 1x BCU
For that setup you'll only need the skills at 1 or 2 but here is a list of skills: Gunnery: Weapon Upgrades (fitting skill and BCU's)
Electronics: Electronics (fitting skill), signature analysis (target speed), targeting (more targets)
Engineering: Engineering (Fitting Skill), Shield Ops (shield recharg), shield management (shield size), shield upgrades (fitting skill and LSE's), energy system management & energy system ops (running hardners and AB), Tactical Shield Maniup (hardners)
Navigation: Acceleration control, Evasive manuvering
Missiles: standard missiles (assault damage), projection/bombardment (range), rapid fire (ROF), warhead upgrades (damage). This area needs to fill in as you go.

Im not going to give you any specifics as I believe you are experiancing what alot of new players experiance, which is 'What do I do now ?' The best advice all depends on your personality, if you are one for bideing your time then training a few frig skills then training your learning skills while assmiliating eve may be for you (well thats like me). If not then play the game by exploring and trying to kill ppl(basicaly find what you want to do) and train what skills you need for the mean time , you can always start over, its up to you.(some of my friends have done this)

Guys thanks for your advice,
Im not in a Carocal... and have found the use of implants so i have the +3s in now which has boosted my SP/HR, i have heavy missle launchers and and doing basics for putting sheild rigs and afterburners...
Still a long way to go but after i have some more improvements on my missles im going to do the 1day training to get into a drake :)
Thank you again.

Dont fly a ship you dont have support skills for. Even on PVE its a great way to lose a ship. I trained straight for a dominix, I lost a couple too many before getting supporting skills good enough to keep me alive in it, you dont want to make that mistake, even with insurance, modules still cost a lot if you get decent ones (and since you wont have the skills for T2 youll have to get best named, which can cost 3x as much as T2 for a worse module)

Looking at your ineve-skills, I would suggest not doing any advanced training A.K.A 5's until you have the learning skills on decent levels.. you will loose to much time.
Instant recall, analytical mind, learning itself.. continue with the advanced learning skills as soon as you can afford it. you'll thank yourself later.. [already said btw. didn't see that ;)]
The rest you'll learn on the way.

The 2 V skills i have i was given for free when recreting this char.
Asecia (old char) = Alecia (new char)
I have battlecruiser on learn atm... once in there i will be staying there for a short time to finish off my learning skills and start down the missle spec, salvaging, Jury rigging, and shield specs
I think after that i will be in good stead to get battleships then and learn cruise missles.
