I just bought a new laptop that uses Nvidia Optimus but EVE only seems to be recognizing my onboard Intel chip under the game settings. I have a 3GB GT555M in my system and would rather the game use that instead of the onboard chip, but I'm not sure how to enable that option...if it's even possible. I'm new to the Optimus technology so I'm still trying to get a handle on how it operates in different games and I would be grateful for any advice. |

This is a known issue and they said they're working with Nvidia to get it sorted out. You should be able to enable card switching in the driver settings, but the Eve client won't detect/use it properly. Looking for more thoughts? Read my blog or follow me on Twitter. |

Apparently the client uses the more powerful card in most or all cases, be it nVidia or ATI ( depending on technology ) it's just that the Intel graphics card is being reported to the client by Windows for some reason.
The latest driver updates from nVidia should have solved this but if it's still happening please send a bug report to nVidia or AMD so they can investigate this in more detail.

NVidia Optimus is terrible. My laptop has it, and never works on anything it says it should work with.
There is a hotfix driver for it that allowed you to manually set which gpu the game should use |

I'm with Nvidia Optimus too, I use 251.47 --> Old drivers can switching behind integrated chipsets
If you have a question about Optimus just shoot me by mail, thanks
