This guy is using a nano-Nighthawk, FFS. The undisputable "worst PVP commandship in EVE". And he actually kills stuff solo with it!!! Agreed - there are NPCes, and his enemies can be meh - but this is "live Eve". These factors would always be important, and if you buff a ship because it looks to be fail but in certain situations does great, than it will simply become OP and in half a year when everybody and their mom will be flying one, you will see "nerf it with fire!!!" kind of post.
P.S. The setup in your link is utter fail - passive tank mixed with active tank and SPR T2 on an active-tanked PVP ship??? Hurri was an overkill, Ruppi would have done the trick :) ------------------------------------------ All nerfs are meant to hurt you personally. They will be nerfing you directly next.

Well, yeah, but people genearlly prefer generalist setups which do well vs PvP-fit opponents. A lot of things generally considered very inferior work with good target selection (Pilgrim, AFs, etc - all very valid ships if you pick the right targets), people don't want to nerf those.
Nano-nighthawk sounds funny, though, but if you sink enough ISK into it, it's going to work. Wildcat uses a nano CNR very successfully, so

Admittedly true, didn't even have to overheat, ended up with a very comfortable 35-40% armour.

sadly.. from this thread it'll be a good 10 months til the actual boost is coming. -- -- -- -- -- -- -- The secret to success, whether it's women or money, is knowing when to quit. I oughta know: I'm divorced and broke. |

There were 4 people, one mimatur, one gallante, one caldari and one Amarr. They each were told they could go down a slide, and whatever they shouted out while going down the slide, they got.
The Mimatur went down and shouted "MIMATUR BOOSTS".
The Gallante went down and shouted "GALLANTE BOOSTS".
The Caldari went down and shouted "CALDARI BOOSTS".
then the Amarr went down and shouted "FUUUUUUCK".
Only the Amarr survived, as the others were boosted to great speeds and flew off the end into a brick wall . SPLAT.
then the wives of the dead... you get the rest.

Oh thats quite an optimistic time frame.
Deimos boost came after what? 2 years I think and its still craptastic compared to other HACs...

But as the things are now, and will be it after the speed and web nerf to, CCP can't just increase the Blasters damage drasticly like you say. Because if they do that as the other battleships are now, it will make some things in EVE VERY unbalanced.
Exactly, dealing what 80% - 90% the damage of blasters at 30km without cap and no issues with tracking is stupidly broken.

/slaps you and then beats you to a pulp crying eos!
Also I would like to say I am back to eve forums, though I am no longer getting paid to post here, which makes me very sad. And no I wasn't fired, my contract with the nice company ended because I was a student on placement. Yeah, well. Except for the excessive torp range, I considered torp Raven and Mega about balanced a year ago - Raven would win if it could keep the range open long enough, Mega would win if it could close fast enough. Fair.
Then they shortened the torp range from long to medium-short (whee!) and increased torp DoT by 33% (wtf?). And, of course, improved Raven's agility so that it's among the most agile BSs even before the armor tanking BSs fit any plates (wtf^2?). Now, some thing in EVE are very unbalanced.

Kunming Thankyou so much, you have hammered the nail on the head the HP buff is a killer. One issue that shouldn't be skipped in anysort of small part is the fact that fights are now at least double to tripple, sometime more than they used to be due to the hp boost and rigs. It has come to my attention in a very painful and expensive way that while the hp boost is sorta neat ccp seemingly forgot to decrease cap charge size to compensate for the hp buff.
Im certain anyone running nice Blaster Mega has noticed that you run out of charges extremely quickly shutting down everything on your ship. A simple size reduction on cap charges would make me happy, no dps boost needed or speed ect just decrease boosters and im happy.
