Would it really be that big of a pain to let us know about this stuff on the front page of the game when were logging in? instead of all the other crap and advertisements there that about 1/4th of us read anyway??? i mean is it really that hard???!!!  |

it's called patchday
and has been in the news for ages
and this is what it says
Scheduled downtime every day between 11:00 and 12:00 GMT
EVE Online: Empyrean Age 1.1 Patch Deployment
The EVE Online: Empyrean Age 1.1 patch will be deployed this Tuesday, 2nd September. Tranquility will be down from 11.00 to 17.00 GMT. The downtime is unlikely to affect the forums. More. |

Interesting. Eve-Mon is saying the Tranquility server is currently up... so I tried starting up. The login screen says incompatible version however the patch is not
downloading. Guess that wont happen until they are done. But... I am also guessing the 16 players currently online are enjoying a peaceful moment before the masses get back on this afternoon!

it is QA in testing to make sure everything is all hunky dory for us
they'll release the patch when the know that everything is fine and they don't have to make a new one for any reason

is it really that hard to read?
the eve front page has had it up for at least 24 hours prior to
and ive been seeing the message on the client login window for about 3 days.

Some ppl will always complain. You could send them phonecalls, letters, emails or even show up at their homes to tell them there's gonna be a patchday ... they would still complain. Just the way it is, no big deal for me. :p
