I'm wondering if theres a glitch with this or if it's just me. Got Cruise missiles to 5 on friday and already have Cruise spec to 3.
But even with that my missile ROF remains at 8.89. I saw it on spec 1, spec 2, and spec 3. It doesn't appear to be reduced by 6% as it should be.

Don't know the bonus cruise spec gives, but if you say it's ROF then I dunno, are you using t2 launchers?

I guess that answers that question being that I need T2's on instead of Arbalest or limos or whatever the hell I'm packing atm.
But now it raises another question, why does standard missile spec work then with regular launchers? We packed Malkuth Assualts on my friends caracel and he's got standard spec 4. That along with 2 missile bay rigs I slapped on his ship and we've got him churning out missiles like nothing.

The Spec skills for any of the missiles should not work with any of the named launchers. I haven't looked to see ROF differences between tech 2 and arbi's, but there should be an 8% ROF differance in mine... I'll look tonight.

Yeah I was looking in the item database after the second poster bolded the skill definition and I'm seeing same rate of fire for both launchers (Arbi and T2) When I get home tonight I'll be purchasing 6 T2's to see what changes.
I'll also probably buy some T2 Assault's for the friends caracel to see if his timing is up'd any also but I'm quite positive that his fire time has been going down with light missile spec unless he's reading it wrong. |

T2 launcher and arbalest launcher have the same ROF, if you check the stat on an unequipped launcher, because your skills aren't appliqued. If you check on fitted launcher, you'll get better ROF. =) |

spend less time linkifying in oope, and more time playing the game 
and if it is working for another launcher that is either a bug or someone miscalculated or misread or something.

In fact, t2 launchers don't get much higher rof when compared to arbies, while they do have much higher fitting requirements.
However, they offer the following advantages:
1)Significantly cheaper than arbies 2)Higher ammo capacity 3)Ability to use t2 ammo (not too important but meh).
Overall, t2's are a good choice for the lowsec/0.0 player, since getting ganked or losing in pvp will cost you less isk.
For the empire player that will run missions and never die though, faction (cn/dread guristas) are recommended, since they'll pack more of a punch than even perfectly skilled t2's.

Tested... my tech 2 assault launchers have an 8% higher ROF the the arbies do... skill is working correctly.
