OK, OK, I know the server isn't up yet and I am in no way complaining about that, but this is my first patch day since starting so I have a question:
Aside from franticly checking the forums and hitting the connect button in the client every five minutes, how do we know that all's well, the patch has stuck, and we can connect and autopatch our clients?
There doesn't seem to be any sort of 'big green light' that will be turned on when everything's ship shape and Bristol fashion.

Usually a couple of hours AFTER ccp said they'd finish

Check HERE for a live player count, regardless of patch version etc etc.

IF you have Evemon running on your pc it will monitor the Eve online server status and report this by using an auto pop-up prompt; i.e. informs you whether the server is offline or online.
