Don Lafontaine, or the man behind the famous voice of many movie-trailers has died at 68 years.
He started his career as a voiceover-actor in the 60'ies and has used his voice to create atmosphere and tension in over 5000 movie trailers. Among many movies he made the voice to the Godfather-trailers and many of the Batman-movies. The voice legend has had nicknames such as "thunderthroat" and "The Voice of God", and has been imitated by the comedian Pablo Fransisco. Many also say that he's the "father of filmtrailers" since he took part in evolving the genre and stand behind many of the classical phrases that have etched into the minds of many cinema visitors over the entire world.

He had a great voice that I will miss. Did he remind anyone else of Optimus Prime?
