Edited by: Ctp Hawkeye on 02/09/2008 17:40:25 Edited by: Ctp Hawkeye on 02/09/2008 17:40:08 I've pretty much just jumped into a curse, after a 70 day skill plan. However, I am still undecided as to if I should fit a nanocurse or some tank. To give you guys an idea of the 2 kinds of setups im looking at: *note this is mainly for solo/small gang work ** edit: a lot of the t1/named stuff will be t2 as ive got more skills now than when i made these fits in EFT :P
[Curse, tanky] Medium 'Accommodation' Vestment Reconstructer I Damage Control II Adaptive Nano Plating II Capacitor Power Relay II
10MN MicroWarpdrive I Warp Disruptor II X5 Prototype I Engine Enervator Medium Capacitor Battery II Cap Recharger II Tracking Disruptor II
Medium Energy Neutralizer II Medium Nosferatu II Medium Energy Neutralizer II Advanced 'Limos' Heavy Missile Bay I, Thunderbolt Heavy Missile Advanced 'Limos' Heavy Missile Bay I, Thunderbolt Heavy Missile
[empty rig slot] [empty rig slot]
Misc Drones
It gives me a bit more buffer, and also I can use the oodles of spare cap I have (while running everything bar the mwd) to rep myself a little.
Or nano fit: [Curse, speedy] Overdrive Injector System II Overdrive Injector System II Nanofiber Internal Structure II Nanofiber Internal Structure II
10MN MicroWarpdrive II Warp Disruptor II Tracking Disruptor II Cap Recharger II Cap Recharger II X5 Prototype I Engine Enervator
Medium Nosferatu II Medium Energy Neutralizer II Medium Energy Neutralizer II Advanced 'Limos' Heavy Missile Bay I, Thunderbolt Heavy Missile Advanced 'Limos' Heavy Missile Bay I, Thunderbolt Heavy Missile
[empty rig slot] [empty rig slot]
Now, this is a lot faster, and either fit could be rigged (Havent yet rigged as im undecided which way to go). I was basically wondering what other curse pilots find effective. Oh also, any comments ont eh 2x missile launchers? It adds some more teeth, at the expense of mroe capwar stuff which is very powergrid hungry.
Cheers

With the nano nerf so close I wouldnt put polys on it, cap rigs are ok choice for now as they let you perma run Neuts + MWD -----------------

Until they ally nerf, nano, nano, nano (doesnt matter what you fit, ppl see a curse they usually run).
Basic +3 rouges, some pollys you'll be passing 3 k, but your agility means missiles only scratch paint. My last curse only had 1 extender for tank, but some careful fitting and i crammed a recon launcher on there too , you certainly dont need snakes, but they help ofc. ***The EVE servers and their patches*** |

Edited by: Tamoko on 02/09/2008 19:40:07 With the nano nerf approaching, I've been wondering about the viability of something along these lines:
Quote: [Curse, EA2 Armor] Medium Armor Repairer II Medium Armor Repairer II Energized Adaptive Nano Membrane II Energized Adaptive Nano Membrane II
10MN MicroWarpdrive II Warp Disruptor II Balmer Series Targeting Inhibitor I, Tracking Speed Disruption Balmer Series Targeting Inhibitor I, Tracking Speed Disruption Sensor Booster II, Scan Resolution X5 Prototype I Engine Enervator
Medium Diminishing Power System Drain I Medium Diminishing Power System Drain I Medium Diminishing Power System Drain I Small Diminishing Power System Drain I Small Diminishing Power System Drain I
Auxiliary Nano Pump I Auxiliary Nano Pump I
Hammerhead II x5
Yes, it's Nos... But in light of all the stuff alpha striking your cap, a like-sized or larger target should keep yielding nos cycles pretty damn near constantly. And a smallish target will be capped out quickly and dead.
edit: The web is for gang operations. Obviously a curse doesn't want to fly into web range in normal circumstances, but when the FC yells "webs", webs he will get. But I was at a loss as to what to put in the last midslot, and defaulted to a sensor booster. |

Don't use damps. And really, really don't use damps on ships without bonuses. Tracking disruptors aren't too shabby these days - use 'em.

Oh, I do that too. But someone had already mentioned that fit. I've used the above fit and it works fine chap.
TD's are the way forward though, I agree, but there's room in the world for RSD's. |

Any comments on the missile launchers? Does anyone fly a curse with a extra little DPS from launcehers with any sucess? Or focus the top rack for capwar? |

you can use some HMLs if you don't have enough PG to fit more Neuts in, and it helps DPS somewhat, particually versus ceptors and the like when their MWDs shutdown. |

Not flying the curse yet myself, I can give comment on that a tanked curse is a fricking nightmare to see in action.
I was ganged up with one in a defense fleet, and it practically shut down the entire enemy force on its own (let alone the ones who bailed when they saw the curse show up), even though it recieved fire from 2 ceptors, it held long enough to deny MWD and everything else, leaving us to clean up.
Its on my training list for that :D -

1x Dim med nos 2x Unstable med neuts 2x Heavy t2 launcers
1x LSE II 2x Invul II 1x MWD t2 1x Med Injector II / 800's 1x WD II

- will need a 3% cpu implant or faction warp disruptor <which is advisable anyway>.
- can mount a 334 defence dps & 193 offence - can take out most of the ratting ships I suppose.
- obviously the tanked dps can be increased using complex stuff.
- can fit one tracking disrupt instead of web with a faction disruptor.
- usually shield tanking is not preferred because of the cap dependency - but you are a curse!
Constructive critics please.

if the t2 mwd don't have a cap penalty <as I read somewhere>, you can replace the PDU IIs in the lows with other stuff like od's / inertial stabs. --------------------------------------------- Meet Eve's most paranoid carebear - Ambani! |
