I've been part of EvE since May 2004.
I used to get soooo annoyed at CCP over patch days. Ranted, raved, banged on about customer service, yada, yada, yada...
I eventually gave that up as a lost cause. Getting annoyed, that is.
I find that if you know something is going to happen, then you are already aware and therefore have an opportunity to be prepared.
I have downloaded about 15 pvp videos that people have kindly put out there for anyone to watch. So, when the first deadline came and went I headed to the video vault. Then, when the second deadline comes and goes I will head to the vid....you get the idea.
Like the old school KRS-One stands for: Knowledge Reigns Supreme - Over Nearly Everyone.
If you are aware, then you should not allow yourself to become annoyed. Works for me.

Yes fella'. I was fortunate enough [make that old enough, lol] to have seen KRS-One about 22 years ago at The Town & Country Club in North London.
Wasn't long after the UK release of By All Means Necessary, with the eponymous pic of Kris peeking out of the curtain with an uzi.
Great show too. Had Silver Bullet and HiJack supporting him.
*sigh* good ol' days........

one of the thing i don't see why people are getting extremely upset are that we can continue to have character growth while the down time is going on. several games require you actually be in them to improve on your character, and they do have server down time. so we can look at this on the bright side and at least be happy our characters are not at a stand still till the servers our back up.

I've only ever played EvE tbh, so am not aware that skill training stops in other games.
Bummer.

wow, eq, FFXI, L2, all of them require you to actually be using your character to "level" as they call it.

Good ol' days for me were a few years later when RUN DMC, Public Enemy and Derek B performed in Copenhagen. My first real concert |

Run DMC? Superb.
I turned 40 this year and now looking back, I'm so glad to have seen some of the groups I did when I was a young 'un. I got to see LL Cool J [Jack The Ripper in riposte to How You Like Me Now?], Red Alert, EPMD [Strictly Business is STILL one of the best rap tracks ever] Eric B & Rakim, Kool Moe Dee, and mid-roar Public Enemy at The Fridge in Brixton to name-drop just a few.
Still, I'll take being 40 and having seen those badboys than being 18 again and not....
....errr....wait.

On another note, I'd like to know who those '5 persons' in the game are and how much fun they must be having....
