Okay, so I downloaded and installed the new client. My sound no longer works at all, in game or out. In addition, if I try to view a youtube video it will play for about two seconds and freeze (with no sound)..yet still load. I am totally confused right now. About 5 minutes ago I got massive feedback but then it quickly stopped.
Something tells me EVE can't be causing this, just wondering if anyone else has had this problem after the patch?

sounds like your computer might be sick :( try reformatting and re installing windows after backing up everything. if you dont know what your doing when it comes to this sort of thing dont even try.. only ever reformat as a last resort. also before you think about formating your computer try reinstalling firefox, playing around in device manager to see if any hard ware is broken or just not working right, see if you have your volume muted and 100 other things it could be.

I reinstalled firefox and it worked again, however youtube will not play videos for more than 3 seconds before freezing. The sound still does not work, I have tested my speakers on my different computer and they're fine. I think my SB Audigy sound card died on me.
If it makes a difference, I'm running Vista 64. I'm planning on wiping everything and reinstalling.

Edited by: Jasonwilliams on 04/09/2008 02:29:11 I have 64-Bit Vista HP and have no problems with my PC. I have a Creative X-Fi XtremeGamer sound card though.
Have you tried getting updated drivers from creative. I believe they released some updated ones a few weeks ago, maybe last month.

I'm pretty sure the sound drivers are all up to date, but I'll check later. If that doesn't work I will reformat.

I completely reinstalled Vista 64 and the youtube video freezing problem has not changed. I am totally confused. Does anyone know what this might be? I'm also positive my Audigy SE soundcard ate it too.
