Errrm, I used to use the reprocessing window to quickly scan my list of selected items and see if there was anything in there that shouldn't be. Now that can't be done, since it lists every single item in my hangar. 
Any chance we can at least get a "sort by" option for the "selected" column, so that selected items appear at the top?
Also, a few weeks ago the reprocessing process started taking a bit longer, usually clearing the list of items being reprocessed in two or three stages, taking a total of 5-10 seconds. Annoying, especially since nothing else can be used, but I lived with it.
Now, reprocessing 30 or so stacks of items (the results of a single mission's looting/salvaging run) took 50 (FIFTY!) seconds. What the heck?  Is that simply a result of needlessly polling my entire hangar (700+ stacks of items) which I didn't want listed anyway?

100000% agreement with this. I have poor eyesight. Scanning a huge list of items just to make sure there are tiny checkmarks next to the ones I want reprocessed is a huge strain on me. more mind-boggling is that some IDIOT thought this would be a GOOD idea, and that a group of BIGGER IDIOTS agreed with him/her.
Restore the old method, please. This one was totally stupid, never should have been added, and as one person put it, "CCP realized there was one part of the game that worked perfectly and saw the need to change that."
Way to go.

Usually when something like this changes and there's no mention in the patch notes you should file a bug report here. Read the instructions carefully, especially the "Creating bug reports" link.

Same thing happens to me!
What happened to the old reprocessing screen? It only showed the items i already chose or right clicked on to reprocess. Now the darn thing loads my whole hanger!
Extremely irritating to say the least.

Hi Guys,
I have asked the same question, what was wrong with the old systemand why the change, its over 2 weeks since my first question and I still have no answers.
NEW SYSTEM IS CRAP WE WANT OLD ONE BACK, well thats my view

Yea contracts use the same system you select say X and then go contract or refine and you get A-Z of hanger stuff WHY?????
Personal view here its pointless and very confussing to use, lets make it simple. Select X, right click and refine or contract. Its that simple so why all exstra screens and garbage on the interface ?
( removes soap box and waits for CCP to respond to petition and this post )

Read the patch notes. A option to see only what you have selected has been added.
