Forgive me if this has already been posted ..
"Far more game than social is the forthcoming Web Wars Eve which builds on the look and feel of the hugely popular science-fiction trading game Eve Online.
In Web Wars Eve players fight for control of valuable websites - those sites with bigger audiences being more valuable.
Details are sketchy but players will be able to park their cruisers and frigates on the websites or territories they control and then defend against those laying siege to them.
Those interested can sign up to be part of the trial, or beta, version of Web Wars Eve and the game is due to launch in early 2009. "

It's been in closed beta for a very long time by now.
Surely it will be a revolution of awesomeness.
This has surpassed the Yarrdware specification and has been dubbed Uberware. |

No doubt the bigger alliances will be camping the equivelant of the "dysprosium" moons .. I wonder where Jita's equivelant will be? ft.com?

I've been waiting for this game for a long time.
Sometime in the next 12 months or so I'm planning on resurrecting a browser-based game I used to play called Mech Wars, which went down a long time ago due to the creator not being able to keep it going (RL shit and the community wasn't grateful) but if WebWars comes out before I get round to it I don't think I'll need to.
