I don't think this is the right section but I hope this is as on tippic as possible.
I plan on buying a few stuff but I have never bought anything tangible on the internet before and I was wondering .... the shipping estimate only estimates the shipping cost not including what you buy right ? cuz I compared Romania to New york (I know they are beyond comparisson, but still) and the difference was about uhm 40 euros or so .... that's kinda a lot if you ask me ....

FedEx is a pretty expensive shipping company to begin with. They're good, but expensive. So unfortunately since the stuff you are ordering is being sent from the US to your home, the shipping goes up quite a lot.
The estimated shipping cost probably includes the weight of the items selected (on the ship models and the books this can make quite a big difference in the cost of shipping) as well as the location it is being sent too. Also, shipping by FedEx within the US is quite cheap, which exaggerates the difference in shipping cost.
