But eh...
What exactly do kill rights and security status matter, if CONCORD are removed?
Sure, keeping your sec status up would prevent you from being globally killable, which a carebear would like in theory, but any of the people who would want to kill someone else would be PvPers who don't care about being killable anyway. So high sec status provides no protection to those who maintain it, and low sec status would provide no meaningful penalty to those who would end up with it.
It would end in chaos. Chaos is fine too of course, but why not just do away with sec ratings all together and be done with it.
If you make it much harder than it is currently to raise your Sec faction then the sec faction would group us into "good guys" and "bad guys". There would be nothing any more chaotic about it than what we have now.
This idea wont fly because most "greifer" and Pirates dont want to be held accountable for their actions - they want to gank one say and be cleaned up the next week.
If you think corp is different than a guild or clan you have some insecurity issues.

Man, first CCP Greyscale mis-uses the term griefer and now every idiot thinks it is the new meme?
Yep just like phrases and buzz words such as "cold and harsh" and "ludicrous speed" were posted at one time or another and everyone thinks it is cool to repeat them over and over.
Not to mention some geek looked up some Latin and now everyone trying to appear intelligent uses "ad hominem" accusations to refute arguments.
I didnt realize the ad hominem card was played here, but dont you think its good any time it is(assuming its correct and ussually it is.)

Ghoest you're missing the point, all you've done is read stuff or seen stuff ingame that's led you down a path of prejudice and assumption that all so called "griefers" are cowards who couldn't never stand up in a real fight.
Whereas in reality, they would squeal in delight at the idea of being made red to all empire corps in highsec and would probably **** the crap out of all of them.
Here's another buzzword for you "feeding frenzy".

Originally by: Tchell Dahhn If you're using the 'sandbox' analogy, it is most definitely a sandbox. The big, bad guy comes over and kicks sand in your face. What are you going to do about it? Cry, and run away? Or, pick up a rock, and smack him in the head?
Since when have you ever seen kids fighting in a sandbox, and one kid screams out, only to have the Teachers come over and beat the shit out of the other kid?
Man, you need to work on your analogies.

Moar analogies :) Show me a school where the teachers would send "the other kid" to beat up the kids in the next district (and take their money) until it can return to it's own school's sandbox, pls :))

But it would be easy enough for them to have Concord stop attacking for low faction.
CONCORD doesn't attack anyone for any standing issue. (save concord sovereighty systems, where concord is the local faction police).
What about you refrain from inventing stuff and stick to the facts?

Originally by: Ghoest If it was a real sand box, players who dont want to pirate, gank in high sec, or war dec mission running corps - would be able to mark you guys and make you KOS then gang up to kill you with a zerg any time you entered high sec. It would be like the towns people with pitch forks stringing up a few bandits.
But as it is you are protected so suck it up and endure the modest protections being given to players in high sec.
That would be awesome, quite frankly. To wit: I've suggested this type of game design many times over.
How to do it: allow anyone into high sec. Even -10 players. Allow them to roam around wherever they want. You want to have groups of 'good' players go after 'bad' players with pitchforks? Please do. All you need to do is allow pirates/anyone with low sec status to enter any security space. They can be attacked at will by any player (if they're -5.0 sec or lower) and can only return fire once attacked. It's like can flipping, but without the can. High sec standing players can engage freely against low sec standing players, and outlaw players have to behave, just as everyone does now otherwise be Concorded.
Oh, and if you really want to go after the existing 'bad guys', what is to stop multiple corps or alliances from war deccing the 'bad guys' and going after them yourselves?
Winning idea for a winning thread.
We want real justice, pitch fork style!

Funny, someone made pretty much exactly the same suggestion in ideas a bit ago, think it was a member of BOB, I'll see if I can find the thread.

It seems that every MMO player has a different definition of sandbox. It usual involves having the features he/she likes.

Those are called quotes.
Honey.
They are actually "quotation marks" - Stupid.
I'm not the one that called them "parenthesis," which is the singular of a pair of parentheses, stupid.
Forum ban IMO. Its a personal attack when you call me "stupid" - stupid. Lucky for me stupid people's opinions don't count for anything.
