Iv just stared looking into the scanning part of the game, and can see the advantage of having a sisters scan probe launcher. Can anyone tell me where I would find one other than in contract? Are they found in complex, mission reward, or random drop?

Is there an equivalent launcher for recon probes, or an implant that will improve the probe time?

As far as I know, no. The Sisters Recon Launcher does not shorten scan time (but does need less CPU, which can be big in CPU-tight fits).
As noted above, the Sisters probe launchers are Sisters of Eve mission LP rewards, so if you want one you need to either run missions for SoE or grab some from contracts.

Also look at PPG-2 (or 1) for increased scan strength.

everything he said is what i was planning to say. ill add that the sisters launcher rocks. takes a HUGE chunk of time off each scan. very much worth it.

There is a sisters version for each probe launcher. The one for complex running heavily reduces scan time for about 40m isk. Plenty of them on contracts in any market hub.

Sisters scan probe launcher = 450 secs base duration time
Normall Scan probe launcher = 600 secs base duration time.
With the Sisters scan probe launcher, signal acquisition lvl 3, a magnate, 2 rigs and a PPH-1 implant you can get below 200 secs duration.

and with pretty good skills (read most at 5) it will give you under 110 second scan time
You would think CCP would have added things like, "Amarr", "CCP", "Microwarpdrive", etc. to their forum dictionary.

I know this is a bit of a x thread but if you want to order one mail me and i'll churn a few missions for you .Usually takes 1/2 days per launcher depends how much time i have.
Price is 20million per launcher.
