Anyone else who agree that this is a realy bad joke, plz sign here >:(null

almost 8k lp in a single mission. yeah the isk reward was crap
HOWEVER . . .
Approximatly how much are you going to make when your on the mission. ?
ALSO
FFS read and learn game mechanics. the mission balancing system is mentions all the time L5's suffer alot from it.

Edited by: Babel on 05/09/2008 11:28:34 It's a new mission - the linked thread explains how rewards for new missions start off low and increase as they are run more and more over time.
Lot of people have missed that :) -------

From the linked thread:-
Originally by: Hesod Adee The payout from a mission is adjusted based on statistics from players running them. Things like the average time the mission takes to complete. As the numbers change over time, so does the mission payout. This means that, with the exception of new missions, the payout from a mission is always a reliable indicator of the missions length and difficulty.
When a new mission is added to Eve, the payout for it starts at the lowest rate for that level and type of mission. Then as accurate stats are collected, the payout moves to a more appropriate one for the length and difficulty of that mission.
The ajustable payouts have been a great way of establishing an appropriate reward for missions. With the much lower volume of pilots running level 5's, it might take a little while - but you will soon notice the mission rewards for the new level 5's rising to levels consistent with the exsiting missions.

Even if this is true and
Quote: All new missions start out at the lowest end in lp/isk rewards
Which were never officially confirmed by someone from CCP ThereÆs still a problem with l5 missions. As there are not so many people running them, it will take weeks, maybe even months to boost reward levels for these new missions to adequate amounts. As far as I know, previous boost of LP rewards for l5 missions in Revelations 1.0 was manual æcause æauto-boostÆ never worked on them. Also the problem with l5 missions is than LPÆs is almost all you get from most of them (no bounties for faction NPCÆs, small amounts of dropped modules etc.) so if I see l5 mission with 7klp reward I just skip it and so do other l5 runners I know, and if noone runs those missions they will never get their boost even if conditions stated in topic referenced by mistersparky are true. So please someone do something about this :)

Even if so. Do you realise how much ppl now doin l5s, and long it will take to make them worth? If its statistic thing, then it should count a huuuuuuuuge bonus then ppl decline the mission. Cause now i not only risk greatly to lose my ships on new l5s by learning them, but i wont get anything in return...
At least 35k LP as smallest now i get from single l5 is 39 (best is 60k)

I think most of us agree LVL 5 are a joke. Also that risk vs reward is even a bigger joke, depending on the mission. If CCP wants to draw attention to lvl5 and pull people away from empire they need to focus on the missions more.
There is a few way that they could pull this off. Increase the bounties in lvl 5 (1million credits). Take the lvl 4 mission and add more battleships to them calling them lvl 5. Have some lvl 5 with rorq in ore mission or carrier, But (Increase the resistance on the capital ships *make them bit hard to kill*
Not to get to far of subject: But CCP could make mission a bit more fun VS reward. I have spent a lot of time doing mission like WC, Pirate Invasion and Extravaganza these are the type of mission that are worth doing. Nobody is interested in cheesy mission massive attack knowing that your going to get NULL for your time.
Another thing lvl 5 should be in NPC 0.0 not low-security, low-scurity is playground for grievers as seen with the complex issues! Nobody does the lvl 5 missions there because they are not worth it.

Just wonder how soon. Its a PvP game, and missions now about real fun, but income for PvP (and else, like paying for accs by ISK). Its fine then income become less boring, but not then income actualy drops greatly. I get two new missions on route, and now i have to wait 4h til i can decline second one.

Not entirly true. The l5s gives realy much of LPs, and thats a corner stone actualy. More LPs means more faction goods for sale. Of couse its also means more competition on market. And thats not as much will drop income for l5 runer, but for l4 runners, makeing then chose to "ennjoy" mor and more lame income, or move to lowsecs for better l5 income (thats also mean more cheap faction modules for PvP, wich is always good, and especialy good for FW) I actualy will vote not for increasing bounties from l5 mission (which are rare btw, as most l5 missions agains major empire factions) but instead making pirates drop tags instead of giving bounties, in same fashion as empire ships drop insignias (then make pirate tags used in LP shops. or bringing something new that will make pirate tags at constant need). Prices for insignias isnt stable, and that one of the thing that makes EVE-market realy special. Bounties on other hand is a raw income, which of course more confatable then you focus for gaining ISk for PvP, but that also inderectly hurts the market.
Nethertheless, insignias isnt a prime income from l5s, its actualy gives me now less then 10% of total income from l5, prime income is LPs, and bringing new missions with such low LP reward on start will actualy hurt l5 running greatly.
