Hello all. I am gonna be setting up my 1st cruiser tonight after work (im all excited...which is odd) and will be using a Rupture. I have my weapons all figured out, but have questions regarding my low/mid slots. I want to shield tank in level 2 missions, but would I be better off with shield hardeners or would using a couple shield extenders and shield power relays be better...or a combination of both? So many ways to fit ships in this game and im kind of confused. Thanks!

Well I personally prefer an armor tank for a mission rupture, but you could probably do fine with
5x 220 ACs
2x Large Shield Extender, Web
2x Power Diagnostic, 2x gyrostabalizer, 1x damage control
It would be pretty slow, if you have decent drone skills and know about transversal, you could probably switch the web for an AB.

Hey, congrats! I know I was really excited about my first cruiser... haha, I saved up for a week or so and bought a Blackbird. Upgraded pretty quick to the Moa and let my 3 light drones do all the work in the missions. ;-)
Anyway, I'd consider an AB in any level 2 mission. Maybe a LSE/Hardener too if you want to shield tank.
Here's some lasting advice for the PVE game: - Fit for one range, be it close or be it far. Pick a place and specialize. :) - Fit one tank, be it shield or armor. Range/kiting can help alot. - Consider ammo consumption when choosing what kind of guns/missiles to fit. - Passive shield tanking requires very little effort/thought, but it does have drawbacks (usually including poor damage) - Drones are for killing small ships that get up close. Don't let them wander too far, because they love to draw aggro on their own. :) - Missions are usually about how much "gank" you can throw onto a ship and still complete the mission. - Shield tanks normally finish missions faster by virtue of free low slots for damage
Anyway, that's probably enough for now. Best of luck. :)

My best advice would be to train up to a torp raven ASAP. But seriously, more people should have some type of spacer in their sigs to show it's not part of the post.

Nah, the Drake would tide him over far better. But come on guys, don't give up the faith. The Cyclone is a **cough** decent PVE ship too. And that said, I took a Drake to armor in my Cyclone before he ejected. Matari powah!
