What happens to your jump clones if you drop below 8.0+ standing with your jump clone NPC corp? I'm guessing they don't explode, you just can't make any more until you've got up over 8.0+ again? Please confirm.

No they explode, and you lose any implants in them as well

They do not explode. In fact once you make them you can jump to them and put them in ANY sataion you want regardless of standings.
I don't have 8.0 with anyone but I have a jump clone I got by running through a roarqual.

I was afraid of this. So is it an intestinal implosion, a bowel explosion, or maybe the head just starts to vibrate then...pop!
So if they don't explode then I should set up my jump clones the moment I surpass 8.0 standing just in case I drop below again? |

Lies, damn lies. And official information.
JC's do not explode/die/have some horrible thing happen if your standings drop below 8.0.
That is only the standings required to install a JC. It costs nothing to maintain it.

Once you make them, you (should) never lose due to anything standings related.
I have my jumpclones that I got using an old corp's +8.0 standing, still there despite not being remotely close on personal standings!
