who?
i'm looking to start/buy an alt on a new account with whom i plan to do anything else but combat, in order to earn me a stable income.
the question is: what should i pick?
1. a salvager to follow my main and salvage stuff? (i don't think it's worth it since you can salvage as you go without wasting too much time - am i right? )
2. a trader? max trade skills and the ability to haul large ammounts of stuff that you buy low sell high?
3.a builder? i have like 0 experience with building things but i heared that there's quite some money in it if you have the skills...
4. a researcher? research all kind of stuff for bpo's and bpc's and maybe have 1 or 2 research agents gathering points for you?
5. a miner? *pukes* but i do have access into 0.0 space and that could make some nice iskies...
6...wtf i forgot to mention...
so...bottom line. what?
thank you in advange,
regards.

A trader with a frieghter is probably the most lucrative profession. but obviously you need some market know-how and a fair bit of Isk to set this up.

This. But without the freighter.

You can make a reasonable amount of isk from farming research agents and selling the datacores and it's pretty much zero effort.

I do embarrassingly well with the research/build/trade thing, especially considering I only actually play about an hour a day. It takes a lot of money to set up, high standings with one faction or another, and a head for business to really succeed though.
If you can stand to sit in a station all day playing the "beat you by a penny" game you might be able to make some money. That would make my eyes bleed though.

Unfortunatly in the dark, cold reaches of space, the 'Scammer' profession is the most profitable in Eve, with billions lost in misslabled contracts and trade sessions every week.
I suppose this falls under your 'trader' catagory.
Its not a profession I endorse, and something you should allways look out for when making purchases.
