I do not want to rant about patch and game balance. CCP is sort of gods in their domain there and we are mere mortals. One detail did bother me a lot though.
I am very heavily producing missles. Its one of the main sources of my income and I have over 5 mil ISK invested in them at the moment. They have been selling quite steady but after I had read patch notes, I realised they had decreased min requirements for missles by a lot. Their price is going to drop like a stone and I am going to loose huge ammount of money. Considering I have been playing for only 1 month, this is a lot of money for me. Is there a way to get compensation from GMs? At least have them take stock back and give me minerals it took to produce them or take missles at mineral cost from me? Not to mention that running 3 factories on highway system is pretty expencive.

I sympathise but the knowledge that missiles were reducing in mineral requirements has been available for some time now, plently of time for you to have implemented some sort of damage limitation to your business and find something else to manufacture.

Also keep in mind that everyone else who has been producing missles up till this patch is in the same boat. I believe that until most of their existing stock is gone the sellers will try and keep the prices the same as before to recoup thier costs. Also if you want to minimize your losses you could always recycle your existing missles and just rebuild them at the lower manufacturing costs.

As far as I can work out you will have only lost money on currently existing stock.
You still have your Blueprint and you still have the minerals for everything you haven't already manufactured so you shouldn't have lost the entire investment.
Its also worth bearing in mind that missiles will be more useful with these improvements and changes and so you will probably have more opportunity for profit if anything.
If you did have a massive stock of say torps though, er you should keep an eye on the forums

I don't think that they care.

i have a large stock of all missiles, exceeding 5mil by a long way. i'm willing to live with it as ccp have shafted me before and are no doubt going to shaft us again!

i have: over 6000 heavy missles (3 mil) over 10000 light missles (1 mil)
they are saying that manufacturing costs will be decreased by a LOT in the patch notes. Say if they do so by 50%, that 2 mil loss on that stock. For 1 month character thats several days of play to recover (i am casual player). They should have some sort of mechanism to take care of those cases. (rename reduced missles and blueprints for example accordingly) and set up NPC buy out for old missles at mineral cost price. So when I would come back after patch, my blueprint for Widdows will be called something else and new missles produced will be called different.
Also, I do not remember reading about reducing mineral costs for missles, I remember reading about changes in the way how they will work, but not on cost to make them.

well, 5 mill is not much, as I said, I lost 150-250 mill and all I got as response was that prices for T2 components would rise above the old values some time when more BPs come out. I am waiting for this to happen for months already and I doubt that it will ever come true. so don't expect anything from CCP ... bad luck ... that's the word
