Anybody know a good program which allows you to download and use Torrents?
Lets just say the whole DRM issue with Spore has made me not interested in purchasing it :)

uTorrent. Only one that seems to work at all for me.
Still my connection still seems borked though, it only ever seems to let it download from people it's also uploading to, or something....
So sometimes a torrent will be stuck at 10kb/sec and refuse to connect to 90% of the peers or just timeout. I've tried pretty much everything but that's the best it can do...
Is that normal?

Didja port forward the proper ports or make sure Utorrent is using the proper ports?

Utorrent or I use "Download Redirector" from my NAS and let that run, as the NAS runs on a core of linux you can install software on to it like Peer Guardian anyways.

Utorrent is a closed source client, owned by the makers of Bittorrent.. which is owned by the company sueing folk in the US for downloading Illegal content
Id rather use an opensource client myself. -----------

Sitting back and letting companies take away your rights and generally screw you over isn't a great idea either.
Pirating a game is a way of showing you like it but don't agree with DRM. Sure, it can and WILL be taken other ways too, but if you can suggest a way of getting the message across that will work, please go ahead.
The negative reviews on Amazon for example, that seems to be working pretty nicely and hopefully the next time it happens it will get even more light shone on the anti-DRM cause. _____ Originally by: Pwett You sir, underestimate the things I have and will pee on.

taking away what rights? you never had any to begin with concerning this. If you don't agree with DRM then you should simply not purchase the game and don't play it. -----------------------------------

The rights to resell a product you buy, or to return it.
Not buying games with DRM is a good tactic, and one I use. Except on Steam, which I think is a great example of DRM working very well.
Just not buying it and doing nothing else is probably not going to achieve very much though, there are always plenty of people that don't know or care enough about DRM to do anything (and Apple is doing rather well out of that fact). _____ Originally by: Pwett You sir, underestimate the things I have and will pee on.
