I hit my F10 button to use the solar system map, and when it came up, no planet or moon or stargate icons came up, it was completely blank aside from the orbital path lines. I waited for about 5 minutes just because I thought I might be lagging but to no avail. So I went to close it. Well I can't close it either. So I am essentially stuck in the map feature.
Any ideas?
EDIT : Relogging seems to be a temporary fix. But there is no way to exit it once it occurs.

I've experienced a similar issue as well. Turning on the map while in space locks up the main window. I haven't been able to find a fix other than a client restart.
Would you be ready if the gravity reversed itself? |

i second that,just happened to me a few times, only in open space though, not when i'm docked in a station

Same, didn't have time to fix it last night.
Press escape, go to general options and there's a button there to clear cache. Apparently this will fix it though I haven't tried it yet. You will probably lose BM folders though.

Same problem here. Clearing cache and reinstalling the client doesn't help. I retain my overview settings dat file, so that infers a bug related to the overview.
IT'S INCREDIBLY ANNOYING. I love needing to be able to log off in hostile space because I can't get out of the map screen.

Try disabling Premium graphics. That worked for me.
