I was considering using a vulture to afk gang boost a golem during missions, so wanted to use as many gang boost modules as possible. anyone have any suggestions?

Pretty much anysetup will work, just put 3 siege warfare links then leave it at a safespot x) If you want it to sit in the misison, then just be sure to fit a cplo LSE and SPR's with some specific harnders and it shld perma-tank..Use its drone bay to kill the warrior ii's and whack some HML's on it for cruisers ;)

Aside from 3 siege modules you might want to consider: Skirmish Warfare Link - Evasive Maneuvers (ship signature reduction - helps to tank) Armored Warfare Link - Passive Defense (in case something goes wrong and you hit the armor - might be usefull for lvl5) Skirmish Warfare Link - Rapid Deployment (in case you decide to fit afterburner, well.. many people do) So basically you wont need more than 6 links, which leaves you with plenty variations to fit cap modules, provided you keep your vulture on safe spot. If your vulture pilot is properly trained, has specializations at lvl5 and siege midlink implant - you will get around 26% shield resistances and shield booster efficiency, 15% armor resistances and signature reduction, 22.5% speed increase with afterburner. - Sig: StackNerfing * GangLinks |

Edited by: Ralara on 16/09/2008 19:11:47 Well as mentioned, command links and commandship bonuses (bonii?) don't require the ship on grid, just in the same system. So just park it outside a station (assuming you're not at war). If it's a Golem you're flying, what's important there?
Shields? - Siege Warfare.
Just shove 3 of them in there and no other fittings necessary. :-)
EDIT: and as mentioned above, there's others you could use if you want - speed etc.
Armour ones... meeeeeh, if you're in armour... the extra couple of % wont help all that much I think. If you're just doing level 4 missions, a plain Golem in a tech 2 fit can solo any level 4 - a vulture isn't even necessary, but meh :-) --

well fit the vulture for full passive tank, 3 shield mods and u can warp it into mission as tgank...dont need to do anything.....a well skilled vulture can solotank every lvl4 with ease...so u can fit ur golem more for damage/target painting....

If you are JUST going to provide bonuses with it I'd go with Jenden's suggestion.
If you plan on tanking mission in it while providing bonuses to Golem then make lows = 2 SPR and 2 PDS2, Mids 2x hardener + 4x LSE, rigs 2X purger1, and the 3 siege mods. With good skills will perma run the hardeners and gang links and tank about 800-900 dps depending on exact hardener configuration.
Gang links are not very cap friendly so don't use 4 sprs in lows.

Edited by: Helmet Koch on 24/09/2008 22:14:20 Nice few suggestions there, cheers guys I think ill try both approaces, ss gang boost or in mission passive tank. I think its turrets might come in handy for pesky npc frigs pestering the golem.
which siege mods you reckon on? 2 cap reduction and 1 resistance one you think?
thanks again :)

Multiple gang mods do not stack, you get the highest bonus. So there's absolutely no point in fitting two of the same gang mod.
And as for setup... assault launchers (to kill frigates), 3x gang mods (all three shield mods, unless you're still cap stable without the cap reduction mod), passive tank. Use the fact that your Golem has those extra high slots to fit a remote shield booster, if you're worried about the Vulture dying.
