Edited by: MailDeadDrop on 16/09/2008 21:08:13 It seems inconsistent for built things to take time to create (which is reduced by PE research), but that disassembly into the constituent materials is instantaneous. Further, it seems peculiar that no "factory" is required to deprocess it either. (Edit: in outposts and conquerable stations I believe one needs a refinery to reprocess, but I'm uncertain.)
Make "reprocessing" a type of S&I job. In lieu of a new "time to reprocess" attribute, simply use some fixed fraction of the perfect PE time from the blueprint which would build them (half? a third?).

I agree, it doesn't make sense. It would be better if there's a base time to refine ore, and reprocess other items, modified by station quality, and by character skill.

And cut reprocess efficiency by 50% too. It is also inconsistent that you can get 100% of everything you put into a module/ship back when reprocessing.
Having a maximum reprocess rate of 50% would be reasonable....

Ah well, lets make that 75%. But yes, I agree.

it doesnt really seem that odd to me. building takes finesse, you need to make sure its airtight etc.
deconstruction is as simple as melting the whole thing, then refining the slag. - PvPers always say "GB2WoW". the message is that EVE is hard, and people just need to deal with it. wasn't it funny how when nano's started making it hard for *them*, that all went out the window? |
