Ive reached that stage in the game where things are just starting to stagnate a bit. Ive been and done it all. Industrialist, pirate, mission runner, megablob fleets, and its just getting a wee bit dull. What do you, the wise and fun loving people of eve do when you reach that stage? Im in no way gonna quit, its to good a game for that. Is setting a long skill training and having a break all i can do?

Not sure if it is all you can do, but probably recommended if you keep pushing on while bored you will probably end up quitting even though you do not desired that outcome at this time. Believe it or not, if you log off EVE and walk out the front door there is a whole world out there waiting for you to experience it. Hope you find what you are looking for m8.

I log off the forums
But seriously, my life is so jam packed that I rarely send enough time on the game at anyone set period of time to get bored with it, heck I have mastered nothing in this game yet.

if you are bored then you are in essence forcing your self to login. So do not force your self to login, only login when you feel you have something to do. Be it skill training or whatever, this method will give you breaks when you need them and fun when you want it.
It's a game not a job.

Play this new game for awhile
Then uninstall it and come back to EVE. Or just play another game. Spore, Company of Heroes, Hello Kitty Online, etc.

zing.
When I get bored of EVE, I change things up and do something else. Something I realised a long time ago is that if you think you've done everything in EVE, you're wrong. There's always something new to do, even if you have to invent it. Ever probed down highsec missionrunners and tried to ransom their mission (take their mission-critical loot and sell it back to them)? Ever gone through 0.5 systems looking for corps with POS that have forgotten to fuel them and wardeccing them? Ever sat in jita passive cargo-scanning freighters and selling the names of pilots that routinely carry a large value of items? I haven't done any of those things but the point remains that you can never really say you've done everything in a game as expansive EVE.
When I get so bored of EVE that I don't want to play any more, I stop playing for a while and play something else. Nothing wrong with taking a month or so break and usually it's not long before there's a big patch full of new stuff to do.

Put a series of long skills to train. Let 2 or three patches appear (or even better, a new expansion.) By the time you come back, the game will be so changed/nerfed that it will be a whole new experience.

I set a 30 day skill and go read a dozen books or so. Or, I work overtime, and make RL ISK. Or, I spend more time with my dear partner who hates EVE more than me when I snore.

Yip been to this stage myself, personally I took a break from 2 months, I often run into this stage now and again usually after a few weeks of playing. I just take a break and play something else for a few days
Anyther good thing is to try and find a corp thats "entertaining" and by this I mean a corp thats not too serious, has a laugh on voice coms and generally understand the need to take time out once in a while. Its helped me out and to stick with the game..

This ^^ and while waiting for patches and such play some new games (Warhammer Online), find some short term hobby (One that needs to be played in the current Season you're in)... do some creative things in your current Job...
