OK, I stopped playing a long time ago and have come back with the intention of getting back into my Thorax. My old setup was terrible, wasn't cap stable, provided a poor tank and had crappy DPS.
I've been working on my skills so I can fit the following and now be cap stable thanks to the rigs (yes I know, OTT for a T1 Cruiser, but it's not for PvP). I'm currently only doing L2's as boosting my standings with another Gallente corp coz the one I worked for before had fewer high level agents.
Anyway, here's the setup I'm thinking of using, have most of it already:
[Thorax, Blasterax] Small Automated I Carapace Restoration Damage Control II N-Type (rat specific) Hardener I N-Type (rat specific) Hardener I 800mm Reinforced Rolled Tungsten Plates I
Y-T8 Overcharged Hydrocarbon I Microwarpdrive Fleeting Propulsion Inhibitor I Cap Recharger II
Modal Electron Particle Accelerator I, Antimatter Charge M Modal Electron Particle Accelerator I, Antimatter Charge M Modal Electron Particle Accelerator I, Antimatter Charge M Modal Electron Particle Accelerator I, Antimatter Charge M Modal Electron Particle Accelerator I, Antimatter Charge M
Capacitor Control Circuit I Capacitor Control Circuit I Capacitor Control Circuit I
Hammerhead II x5
Items that aren't T2 will be upgraded as soon as the skills finish learning. Now as I said, this is cap stable (without the MWD running obviously) but I'm wondering if the tank looks OK? EFT suggests an EHP of 18,767 (10,974 of which from armour and resists range from 61-78% when hardened) but it only has the ability to tank 31 dps due to the SAR.
Does anyone have any suggestions for this setup, apart from "ur a troll", "ur a noob", "fit T2 blasters" or "don't use rigs on a T1 Cruiser"? I would very much appreciate constructive critisism, advice of possible improvements and no trolling. :)
Thank you,
LS

But seriously, remember that you cannot use a MWD in deadspace areas, so an AB is usually better for missions. Also, most people fit rails for missions because they allow you to kite your targets while drones go in for the up close work. That also means you no longer need the web and can fit another cap recharger (did I mention you shouldn't rig a T1 cruiser?). A Vexor is probably a better PVE cruiser, to be honest - especially if you have T2 drones and not T2 guns.
That seems like a pretty obvious indicator to me that you are in the wrong ship for your missions.
