I thought we all liked playing that internet spaceships game... Taking it to an ingame war means giving your approval to the Goon idea that their kind of forum / fanfest / etc behaviour is a valid way of "playing the game". By doing so you validate the idea, that bullying, coaxing for tears, pointing and laughing when someone is upset, and public humiliation of them on Fanfest are on the same level of "the game" as is making spaceships explode. Whether doing so is a bad thing can be a matter of debate. Personally I would be hesitant. I value sportsmanship about pixelated explosions; however I do not value bullying those who are unable to show it when they lose. I would rather not reward the bullies by deliberately, out of my own initiative, giving them fun explosions. But whatever you think about it, before making any decisions you should realize that playing their game means accepting it as valid. Think what James Dalton (Patrick Swayze) would do Not seen that film since 1989 or 1990 all I remember is a guy with a motorcycle, black leather jacket and a pool cue oh and something to do with a bar. But Patrick Swayze was just following a script so no idea what Patrick Swayze would actually do. Hmm, I do see your point. In that case, think to yourself what would good old Jack Burton say at a time like this?
Well there's 'Would you stop rubbing your body up against mine? Because I can't concentrate when you do that...'
or 'I'm a reasonable guy. But I've just experienced some very unreasonable things'.
Assuming you're talking about 'Big Trouble in Little China 1986' which is even older than Roadhouse. But again that is on a script.

Not to mention led the most successful coalition Eve has ever seen. When you arnt on the side of somethign powerful like that, then hate can get the better of you, capitalising on the most appalign of things even when i truth you care nothing about it, when all you can see is how you hate somoene you will use any weapon against them.

Apologies are not a ritual, they might be to those that are insincere and an insincere apology is meaningless.
People can judge (rightly or wrongly) if a person's apology is sincere or not based on the known actions and character of the person giving the apology. Which is why a lot of people don't see the apology from The Mittani as being sincere. |

Either the causehoars will cry so loudly that CCP and Sony's relationship may be damaged, EVE will suffer, and DUST will be a flop; OR, we use the upswing of anti-Goon fervor to generate legitimate and engaging In-Game RP, create an awesome PR moment for CCP, and show DUST players why EVE is the champion of bad***ery and emergent gameplay.
In the spirit of "EVE is Real," I say we take the hate into space, and take the fight from the forums to the Goons themselves. So what if they have the single largest armada in EVE, that just makes the achievement all the more worth it. Britain had the world's greatest army and navy, and yet a ragtag bunch of colonists kicked the tea and crumpets outta 'em. Maybe New Eden could take a few lessons from that.
So join me. Join the Anti-Swarm. From many, one; one goal, many approaches. Let the fight begin!

It is now a matter of CCP enforcing the terms of this agreement, as they do to us with the EULA and TOS.
It isn't clear, regardless of CCP's cosmetic move to "investigate" the matter, whether CCP is safe from civil or even criminal liability. To keep Mitt is to sanction Mitt. These posts, rapt with the idea some show of hands by EVE players has any standing in this situation just prove how out of touch the wizards of New Eden are with the world they actually live in. Do you have a copy of that agreement or are you just making **** up? It's called the law. |

No, it's the one where Patrick Swayze is a wandering bouncer who cleans up a bar then he cleans up the whole town. It's very exciting.
Also I meant he cleans up crime, not trash. Not that I'm against the environment but Patrick Swayze cleaning up trash just wouldn't be as exciting. |
