Having just discovered that I accidentally escrowed my Widowmaker BPo (cheap loss, but still a loss to recover), I'd like to petition for a a change in the icons for BPc's, to differentiate them from BPo's - possibly just change the blue background to another color, yellow red or purple perhaps, so that it's easier to both find the BPo's, and to prevent ppl (like myself) from making stupid mistakes.
Just sign below if you like the idea - we might see a dev comment if we're lucky :-)

This has been raised before countless times, and we all agree it would be really nice in our day to day activities.
But with the way things are going I believe we will see some other needless change of the icons instead, like the ship icons from last patch.

A very good idea which has come up before but not even a whisper that it might be in the works. Would definitely make managing research and sale of BPs a lot easier and less confusing.

Aye, there was a whisper in a CSM, way back yonder, that tags like the tech2 tags you see may be introduced for the purpose of seeing the difference between BPO, BPC's and 0-run BPC's

Perhaps a different shade of blue for each BPO versus BPC. And when the BPC has zero runs left, it turns gray.

Mmmm... No. A distinctly different color would be better. Different shades of the same color is not fool proof enough.

Agreed. Make it green instead of blue or sign it like the Tech II items with a symbol in the corner.
I already once sold a valuable BPO in escrow instead of the BPC because they looked the same  . |

I'll add my vote for a different icon to differentiate BPo's from BPc's.
It's hard to sort them! And I always get worried I might sell off a BPo by accident...

Have to agree.
Fortuanetly haven't made the miostake yet/had chance to but I can guarantee I will at some point! The grey idea for Zero runs would also be nice, but I wouldn't say essential...After all thats one of the benefits of being able to inspect merchandise isn't it?

This is a subject which keeps coming around. To me it seems such alot of sence that the bpo, bpc and the used bpc should all be indicated in some way. It would stop all sorts of trouble in the long term.

It's probably not going to happen.
I remember a bug petition I made (feedback/improvement kind) a long while back (way before castor patch) to change icons of BPO en BPC (for example putting a red C in top left corner or something).
Since it still has not been done (what kind of work would it be at all!), I do not expect it to come around any time soon(tm).

CCP why won't you do it, it's not like it's hard, you dont even need to make new icons, just hue/saturate them with the colorize option turned on in photoshop, a child could do it.
