Mittens was investigated by CCP. CCP has responded with their actions.
I myself never felt that Mittens should be banned from the game as I did not think this was an In-Game issue. If he had said the same things in the public channels of the game, then yes, it would be an in-game issue.
I do believe that Mittens should have stepped down. This would have showed the gaming world that he realized the effect of his statement and wanted to heal that gash between eve gamers and outside gamers. Whether CCP or Mittens decided his CSM fate, it does not matter. The message was read and Gaming News outlets have posted their news.
As infuriating as this is to those of you who voted for Mittens, it's a step in the right direction. Taking your revenge on Jita is your right.
At this point, we as a community can move forward from this. The CSM should not harp on it. They should begin preperation on what they want to accomplish this term. Goons, you guys should do what you do best. Blow stuff up and mock those of us who attempt to resist.
Mittens is not gone. He's still a very influential player in EvE Online and CCP has stated he will be able to run for future CSM positions.
My hope is that the current CSM will pick up, move forward, and work towards a solid Agenda this year.
TLDR version:
Steps were taken. Issue resolved. Don't harp on the past. Get your revenge and move forward. I Look forward to losing many a frigs in Jita to Goons. |

The CSM can not be taken seriously as an entity until player votes are allowed to matter. There is no moving forward until this wrong is corrected. |

I understand the frustration of seeing someone you voted for removed from the position. Trust me... I voted for Clinton.
But realistically, the worst case scenerio is that nothing happens and the CSM functions as is.
10k votes is a very large amount and it shows what kind of person he is to our player base... Noone had a problem with him getting voted in. That's not in question here. It's what he did after he was voted in. Yes, some of us believe it to be trivial. But it's far larger than just the eve community.
Sure, we can say "&$*# everyone who doesn't play eve".... But who are the ones replacing the pilots that retire? We need that player income to keep our ships flying. We need that income to keep our space barbies and our monocles. And we sure as hell need it to keep Jita ablaze.
We need to put on that fake smile, pretend we give a damn and then do exactly what everyone in eve does. Stab them in the back once they're committed and invested. But turning them off of the game before they've even downloaded it... That's not in our best interest.
