Seriously, i am, i'm going to play WoW again, BUT...here comes the shocker...i'm gonna keep playing EVE too
Both have own good qualities and both are really good games. Swords+magic and space+pewpew. With both, i get catered the preverbial cake of win.
Such herecy, such blasphemy, THIS. IS. *BANG!* Argh! No, you don't go there.
Now, why is this interesting? It isn't. I just wondered if there were others who dared acknowledge their gaming to diverse from the sanctity of EVE?
In short, do you play other MMOs?
And if you can't keep the flames out, i deem you as part of "fail incorporate" forever
Keep. It. Clean.
And no, you can't have "half my stuff"

I know few people doing the same thing as you - playing both Eve and Wow, some for a long time. They seem to be quite happy with it

I also casually play WoW alongside EVE, might change depending on the nature of the upcoming expansion content for both games. -------------------------

Well, if this is a coming out of the geek-closet thread then I will have to admit I used to play a lot of City of Heroes/Villains. Was thinking about resubbing when the next Issue arrives tbh.
Might as well also admit to just reinstalling all 3 of the Baldurs Gate series and playing them through (again(mods)).

Not that eve is the greatest games of all times (it needs alot of fixing...) but eve is so damn time consuming, I just have no idea how one could play even another mmo and not being unemployeed or living in a cave...
At least if you actually doing something in Eve apart from forum whoring

Why stop at just MMO's, personally I'm also guilty of owning all 3 next gen consoles and playing them religiously PLUS a crippling addiction to this one 50-player server on COD4..

Oh aye, there's very little "weekly social" for me.
I manage it by playing EVE(training ofcourse is 24/7) for a while, doing various things, setting buy/sell orders, then when i notice i'm more sitting in station chatting then actually flying, i switch to WoW and bash things with big hammers
Also saints row 2 and fallout 3 are coming out, so my free time after work is very much "in the bag".
Weekends, well, late gaming nights mean less time hanging out in bars, but if someone asks out, i get my "groove on".
Basically WoW+EVE combo is good for killing time, avoiding single-game-boredom and to balance each games respected "lacks".

If i join horde side, i'll be sure to check Raven out. Nothing like playing with PERVS, no matter the place
Also, will be returning to my perverted kindred the day i choose to go back into shooting other ships with big things.

I thought Spore would wean me off of Eve for a good while, but boy was I wrong.
Spore kept my interest for about 3 hours. Talk about a dumbed down game. ------------- "Isk is cheap. Life is cheaper. This week, they're having a sale on both." Laugh until you cry: Battle Asses

Edited by: Julius Rigel on 25/09/2008 07:43:29 I played wow for two years. It's a very good PVE game. But then I got bored of PVE and wanted to try sandbox. I still log on every now and then and do a few quests with my dad, the nelf druid.
Perhaps I'll give it another go for the next expansion, I'm guessing you need a TBC activated account to get the next expansion, or are they separate?

You'll never see any other barrens general degrade that fast into racial flaming as the ravencrest one!
I've played on a number of servers and this one is definitely the worst.

I play many games apart from EVE. Mount & Blade, Zombie Survival has got me hooked recently. Recently downloaded and been playing Matrix Online trial. I have access to trials of Star Wars online, Everquest 2 etc so might do those. X3: Reunion - Gives me my fix for joystick space combat There are some times when i will look forward to coming home and jumping on EVE. But sometimes i log in and say hi to corp mates. And log of again cos i decide i dont feel like it. Plenty of decent games out there, im not just sticking to EVE.

Well, in hindsight, I am playing a local casual MMO aimed at younger audiences here to keep an eye mostly on my nephew's gaming habits.
I also control their gaming access, so during school exams, finals, and the like, I lock their accounts down.
The same MMO is played by my S.O. so I cant simply just back out of it. She is feisty if I dont join her in that MMO even if I'm bored to death over it. -

I'm a single player game player. I love eve for it's muliplayer, but when it comes to spending TOO much time playing a game it's mount and blade, megaman, mass effect, bioshock, breath of fire, earthbound and the such.
if I played a wow again I know I would sudden;y be missing on on playing great one player games!
or having time to play gutiar, build my room, go out with the soon to be wife, have parties and such.
I don't know wow brought out all the terrible part of my video game addticition. a one player (mmorpg) that I can play... forever? oh god just kill me now. in eve everything you do you feel it. so I can stop, even if sometimes t's becuase I get ****ed off at the game, or if I'm scared to long in due to war targeting taking out the pos I was at the other night.
so yeah enjoy wow as long as your not the type to play it too much!

The next CoH issue looks really good. Definitely thinking about playing for another cycle when it comes out also.
I have a WoW account paid through December but haven't logged in much lately. Most people I know and guildmates have gone to Warhammer or otherwise stopped playing, and I am pretty bored with it too. Lack of PvP on a PvP server = major fail. And WoW PvE is, of course, boring as hell. The expansion doesn't sound too good so far (more of the same , and still no meaningful PvP content) but we'll see I guess. But, yeah. These forums seriously need some indicator that the post has ended and the sig has started.

Its fun, just got into outland. Its like a whole new biscuit tin just opened up in front of me, and all of the biscuits are chocolate coated.

Awesome, gryphon bombing runs ftw!

The only other online game I play is UT2004. Currently my non-EVE gaming consists of the S.T.AL.K.E.R. mods however.
I wouldn't have the time or even inclination to play another MMOG, since I don't like MMOGs. -

You won't be lying and Eve will get some free publicity
As for me, I tried going back to WoW when I got tired of being stuck in a dark corner of Venal. I lasted like... three weeks. After Eve I just can't go back to chasing carrots in an environment where skill is primarily a function of how much you play. ---

I used to play City of Heroes, got bored with its simplicity the more I got into Eve. I still have it installed and consider picking up another month here and there, but last time I went back it just wasn't the same. Probably a lot to do with many of the people I used to play with having moved on, they kept me in that game for a lot longer than I'd have expected.

I try almost all mmo's though.
