Project 10 to the 100th.
10^100 is the numerical representation of "Google", and this is the 10th anniversary of the company. So they have this contest/project, where you submit ideas that would help as many people as possible.
I've submitted mine already, now do yours!

Seriously though, am I the only one who has a general distrust of Google?

Well, I'm an awesome cynic when I want to be, but Google has dumped a lot of money into philanthropy. Even if it amounts to nothing, its good PR. 5x10mil is be better than Microsoft's $300mil Vista ads, and there's a chance for something even bigger.

No you aint the only one, theres lots but it dosent make it any less absurd. I might take anti google rants more seriously if the conspiracy theorys werent just laughably insane, which makes me take any valid concerns less seriously.
Plus I just like Google so ama wait till they actually do something evil before jumpin to conclusions.
And I'll submit my idea when I think of one, all I can think of now is awesome products they could make that would benefit me

they are trying to take over the world. This would alarm me if the idea of google owning the world bothered me, but it doesn't ^_^
free wireless access at every location on earth, and also the moon.
