The current POS system on the Live Server will not agress anyone who are negative standings toward the corporation-owned POS on default settings. The default setting is 0.0 for both values.
The solution? Set the above value to 0.1 The POS will now primary and put a bitter end to the endless test rookie ships we've sent at our POS when the above value is modified according to the above numerical value.
This is a serious issue. Devs, thank you for looking into this.
Constructive criticism and discussion welcome. Please do not waste other peoples' time by flaming/trolling this topic. |

Wouldn't this allow you to directly manipulate who is primaried by POS guns without having to have someone control them in the fight? I wouldn't know, just an assumption, but if that is the case that would remove the need for people to control the guns to allow for that kind of coordination, which is obviously not what they want since they want someone there to control them for that kind of use.
I know nothing about POSes, could be wrong, dicks etc. |

This topic is not about corp mates at the POS. This is for when your corp is offline and the POS should be able to take care of its own deffenses, hence, the reason why POSs have automated weapons systems for when corpies are offline. |

Has anyone else tested this out and can add anything to the problem report? |

Haven't tested it. But, I'm not really seeing the issue here. Is your computer at its default settings? Doubtful. We want breast augmentations and sluttier clothing in the NeX! |

My entire alliance has been testing it with me. This is not single-computer related. |

This is old. Everyone, who is dealing with poses on a regular basis, knows about this and sets it up correctly. |

Doh, he is not saying it is your computer, he is asking did you leave your computer factory default or have you customized it for you? Same with a POS station, out of the Box default settings are not the best settings, they are the default settings, you need to customize those settings for you and your corp/alliance.

The default doesn't include neutrals, so of course everybody uses 0.1 or higher.
Of course this doesn't apply in hisec, where there is no such option on the menu. |

The POS should agress anyone below 0.0 if set at 0.0
Therefore -5.0 or -10.0 = aggress.
To further stress the problem, if a negative rated pilot agresses the POS: I.E. Shoots the POS for 4 hours in a dreadnought while the corp is offline, the POS will not agress back. |

Mhmm. I think it's an intentional bug to deal with some "Rogue Pos" issues in certain regions. |

Think I've read something in the patch notes about this. Not sure if they delayed the fix or it didn't work. Looking for more thoughts? Read my blog or follow me on Twitter. |

Interesting you say that. I agree in part with you, except that the numerical system 0.0 being neutral, and other numbers representing security level of that corporation / alliance, it doesn't add up. It simply doesn't make sense. |

OK. Mind trying to look up that section of the patch notes and quoteing it?

It hasn't been working reliably for some time - we've had 0.1 set for awhile - before setting that it was even more weird in that I could use a mix of neutral (0.0) rookie chars and do different things with them with different results i.e.:
Char A could warp to the POS and not be shot at but would be killed on agressing POS Char B could warp to the POS and even shoot at the POS with no reaction at all Char C would be BBQ'd on warping to the POS
All these chars are neutral to the POS owner corp both alliance/corp level and personal standings - setting attack if standing lower than to 0.1 results in consistancy in that context however we've still had odd things happen - a character that was individually +10 to our corp (from our side) and his corp set +5 to us (by us) was killed instantlly on warping to one of our POSes and we've had another char with negative standings able to sit off the POS before without being agressed but was shot on shooting at a POS gun.
We've also had the POSes shoot randoms from -10 to 0 automatically when no ones online to so it does usually work. |
