The biggest thing I like about Kara is her consistency. It must just be a female thing because Kara and Athre (EBANK Teller) are the most consistent people I know.
We have had plenty of different business arrangements and I won't lie when I say I was going to insta-reserve before reading this thread. Luckily I actually read it and found you didn't want any cash
Kara I am sure you know this but if you ever need anything in game don't hesitate to let me know. I didn't speak to you enough ingame to know about those RL circumstances that came up, I can't imagine how hard it would be to see everything you have worked for go up in smoke (literally).
Anyway glad to see you are back on track and your bpc sets are chugging along quite nicely.
There are a couple of different types of people in Eve. Leaders and followers. Followers run through their eve lives like sheep doing everything by the book and make up the majority of the players. Leaders take the time to explore new avenues and then harness them. Leaders don't like not being in control and followers demand a leader in order to guide them.
A leader will rarely work for another leader for any extended period of time. Hence why I wouldn't bother offering employment to someone like Kara, Femintaki, Shadarle etc. These people and plenty of others are feulled by their own desires and goals. While I don't want to drag EBANK into this topic I dare say the resignation of Shar had some bearing on us both being leaders and bumping heads on more than one occasion
Anyway don't hesitate to let me know if you need anything Kara, and welcome back to Eve. |

Its all about giving an explanation for a long unforeseen absence and after coming back having the decency to repay old debts, even after a RL disaster.
Good luck with the new start, both in RL and in game.

To the OP, what a "wonderful" read.
Parts belonged in WTS. Some in COAD. Other parts of it belonged in WTB. Now the drama though that was pure MD.
I have no idea who you are, never done business with you, but I must say it sounds like your kickin arse and taking names to pull your self back up, with out any whining, biotching or moaning. For that I give you a hearty kudos and a welcome back to eve.

I am glad that I had the least amount tied up, I had contracted Kara my abaddon BPO so that she could copy it and we would split sales of the BPC's. I had purchased the BPO for 1.8 Billion Isk and this is after I bought one of every single BPO Kara sold.
Kara contacted me the moment she came back into the game. I talked with her over the course of a few days to help her straighten things back out, including giving her a few tips on the marketing and trade, which seems to have helped.
As I posted earlier, I am getting ready to be out of the loop, I am posting from work right now but I will be losing my internet access here in a few days so I won't be able to answer any further questions.
BTW, I did read the entire post Kara

Just so that's clear, we only sell BPO sets and it has been 95% of our business. People can get BPC's off the contracts all the time. But only until we had been around about a year did you see 'set' sellers begin to appear. Amazingly enough, as I said above, they have practically copied word for word and set for set what we've done. None offer the Amarr cystals and only one (that I've found) offers sets we don't at this time.
I side lined the BPC's because everyone and their brother is doing it with better prints then we have. So we're focusing on that market of people that want to get into industry without having to try to research the BPO's themselves and see if it's profitable. With Midas looming down on us I only expect the amount of people that will 'give it a try' to increase if Midas is implemented right.
As for everyone in this thread, I do thank you for the kind words and support. Some of the prepay people don't even know their going to be getting their isk back as well as interest or a discount on prints. I figure they'll be pleasantly surprised in light of more and more IPO failures/scams/disappearances.
I know it's in a weird form but I do want to be one of those people that if CCP lets us, will be one of the first to 'run a ingame supported store'. I know that doesn't excite most of you, but for some reason I like the idea of being one of the people that ANYONE from any walk of this game can come to and be treated with courtesy and in a timely fashion. I tried to do it in WoW (yes, I know I hate it too, and PLEASE don't turn this topic into a discussion about how WoW does or doesn't suck) but the end game in WoW doesn't support crafters making items daily. So as the servers age things such as item production becomes useless. Not so here, the end game items contain common minerals found in the belts and anyone can make a good income (albeit not as high as tech 2) with tech 1 ships and items.
I know it's going to bring up some bad memories and such, but I remember what certain people did with their IPO's. From blatent scams to saying "yeah I just can't get those assets back" to *poof* the amazing disappearing CEO. I've lost money in a few of those and I know how that feels, so even tho it's virtual I want to do right by my clients and by the Market Forums in general. I know I'm not the most well known, heck, probably not even averagely known person around here. But I do want to be one of those people eventually that's mentioned as "well her investment isn't super exciting and it's not 20% or anything like that, but it's consistent and if anything she OVER informs us each month about what's going on and how things are progressing."
I can't remember the posters name, but he ran an IPO around here, and every week I believe he paid dividends. At the end of the IPO he got one of the best comments I believe a person can get. "Damn it's a shame this is ending, but wow, what a way to set the bar for others."
On top of that I'm not really sure what IPO would be a good match for us, as well as making a decent profit for any investors. Tech II components, Capital ships, BPO production on a higher scale, or 'lend leasing' of tech II BPO's from owners that want to collect a tidy sum but wouldn't mind letting the process be out of their hands anymore (aka parking their tech 2 BPO's). All just random thoughts since I really have to make sure 100% that I have a majority of people on these forums agreeing that it's a good idea.
And now since I view the pessimist view of anything I say, I am NOT looking to open an IPO anytime soon. I believe I still have repairs to make to our reputation as well as making sure people know how we operate as well as to show our consistency return to the levels we enjoyed before the fire.
Sorry for length.

Nice to see a lot of the people in this thread in game again.
I find it funny that the ONE IPO choice I've been debating for months (lease Tech 2 BPO's from their owners and do a split of profits with them) E-Bank announces 1 week after this thread and blows up any chance I woulda had with it.
Which after reading all the bs that's coming their way in that thread I'm kinda glad I didn't do in retrospect.
News about the repayments I just kinda took the plunge and started the process to take a loan with E-Bank to get all my former clients paid back in full as of tomorrow. It'll also allow me to change up some tiny bits in the corp to make some savings (move office, change tower, get some extra BPO's on standby, etc. etc).
I'll be trying to sell alot of my stocks this weekend to repay the loan early (we have a decent stock for a change) so we'll see. I don't like having debt on the books so we'll see how quickly I can repay this.
More updates as they come.
