Is it possible that with such a feature you could transfer something *you* want onto your phone, and not something *they* want you to have? -------------

I don't know, but i find it very stupid that something my "not so smart" phone k810i has (and many, many more phones that are cheaper and "dumer") a "smart phone" dose not have.
U can even use bluetooth 2 devices as remote control for pc and stuff... why not add these normal features to a quite expensive "smart phone"?
Is there a technical explanation? |

Yes there is.
Because Apple did not finish coding the bluetooth stack on the iPhone. Neither do they intend to. They don't care.
If someone manages to reverse-engineer the bluetooth radio/software, a 3rd party might hack the iPhone and create his/her own bluetooth stack.
Due to the fact, that the latter is complicated without access to hardware/firmware specifications, I doubt it will happen any time soon though. |

Perhaps android's bluetooth stack is incomplete as well. But that can be fixed soon. EW Guide - Music Downloader - My Music |
