yeah, amarr got some good ships, and every time i see an apoclypse, i drool, every time i see on blasting its lasers, i orgasm, imo, apocalypse is probably the BEST looking battleship in the game, followed extremely closely by the megathron (like .000000000000000000000001 mm)
they can alos fit a mean armor tank, once, during FW, we had about 6 cruisers (?) and decided we could take on an apoc. . . . . we were wrong, its armor tank was insane, i mean, tbh, we COULD have killed him, it would have just taken a while, plus their was backup coming about 2 jumps away, so we kinda had to go
in-fact, i may just train for amarr battleships next, and aim straight for the apoc |

Amarr ROCKS for ratting Sanshas and probably Blood Raiders and stuff. From top of my head, Harbinger and Armageddon make insurable cheap ratting boats with arround 600 DPS, insurable Abaddon does arround 800-900. Apoc is great now as a sniper.
And the IMHO best mission boat (Nightmare) needs Amarr BS skill and laser skills (plus, admittedly, Caldari BS and a shield tank).
Train T2 lasers. Training for the large ones takes ages but Amarr ships are my favourite for most things PvE, I kid you not.
Stop listening to the ppl here on the forums (omg we have a conundrum  )

I don't quite agree. I can fly most things Caldari and Gallente up to and including command ships, will be there for Amarr soon, and plan to achieve the same for Minnie some time.
Yes, I could have trained one or two more skills to level V, those that taunt me daily by wanting 40 days for an extra 2% DPS if I had specialized.
But its a much better feeling to be able to be able to fly the flavour of the month whatever it might be. Amarr HAC hot this week? Gallente command ship the next? No prob.
Besides, faction BS virtually DEMAND cross training of BS skills.
Also, I was a lot more motivated to train command ships V knowing it would boost my abilities with four ships (and soon eight), not just one or two. |

I am not a troll m8.. I genuinely thought from browsing the forums that amarrs were a bad faction to play. But the nice people here have set me straight.. Strange that if someone asks for informed opinions on a thing or two because I am a noob who is ignorant about these things I get called either a troll or a whiner.. woohoo, lets cheer for the open minds of some people.
But overwhelmingly the reply¦s have been much nicer than I expected :) I will definately be training amarr and playing. |

Step one: Put guns/lasors/missiles/dronethingys on a ship and fly around
Step two: Lock target
Step three: F1-F8
Step four: Ask others why you died and modify steps 1-3 to include trajectory, ewar, velocity, rigging, and the benefits/drawbacks of passive vs. active tanking.
Step five: rinse repeat and quit asking questions about races being bad, they all have pros/cons. |

Oh me personaly? I'm 100% Matari with every Matari spaceship command skill minus the capitols and all the T2 ship skills at level 5. However I only have 3784 sp in gunnery and about 15k sp in missiles as all that sp was put into industry, ew, drones and probes. All my pure 30~40mil sp pvp combat alts are the ones specced in Amarr. Harby/Geddon gank squad with the Rapier tackle ftw.  |

You're either reading an outdated copy of the forum or you're talking to mission-runners.
As has been said already, Amarr are very good right now. Plenty of people have started, or continued, to train for Amarr ships and lasers.
Even when running missions, Sansha, Blood Raiders, Drones and even Mercenaries are easy prey.

I'm doing level 2s easy in a coercer, the "worst" ship in destroyer class.
I can also do many level 3s, internal security that is.
Sure, Amarr may not be "own" material, but once you've flown with the worst for a long time, you pick up a few tricks
