Tobias Xiaosen Gallente The Perfect Storm The Red Skull	Posted - 2008.09.29 21:34:00 - [1] Even though I would never do this under normal circumstances, I was bored to hell and back so I decided to do something drastic and watch an anime. Never done that before, so I just stuck to one I knew one of my friends watched to see what it was like. Full-Metal Alchemist. I must say I was stunned. Out of every single form of entertainment media i've experienced, the plot line behind this was the most enjoyable. I watched all 4 seasons over the course of three days and I still love it. So in the end, I'm thinking maybe anime isn't that bad after all.

Whatever you do though, never watch Dragonball Z. They spend the first 15 minutes of the show recapping the last episode then spend another 15 minutes talking and showing goku running down a path. It takes like 6 months for a fight to happen.

Bottom line, there's no reason to NOT watch anime, especially since "anime" nowadays is as far away from cartoons and as close to actual movies as it ever was. Sure, some still suck, but there's plenty of awesome anime out there.

These 4... Plus Trigun, are definitive watchings. Neon Genesis Evangelion will make you SHIT. And you'll be all "what the hell" and you'd have to watch it about 3 times just to replay that part where EVA-02 gets ripped to bits. Good times. Edit: And Elfen Lied, also good times.

Congrats for getting past the reputation the Internet has given anime. As Akita points out, there is no reason not to watch any anime at all, as there is something for pretty much everyone. BTW, Eva is overrated, try Rozen Maiden once you are a bit more desensitized to anime wackyness

Either way don't let a poor dub stop you from watching an anime.
