So I'm stuck in M-OEE8, logged in but no overview or anything else working but my character sheet (while it said it's working for some it's likely propaganda). I hadn't the foresight so set a long skill and a skill actually expired shortly after the nodecrash.
So I'm trying to set a skill, as it is stupidly laggy I did "train to level 5" a few time as there was no feedback whatsoever. Low and behold. "train skill" is actually a switch. So do "train skill top level 5" in lag twice and the skill will train shortly then stop training, because the second "train skill" will in fact be a "stop training". Why one would design a system like that is a bit beyond me but it seems like it.
So beware with skill training in lag, CCP code looks actually even dumber than you'd think it was... |

If you urinate more than 175,000 times in your life, your urinary tract ruptures and you die. That's probably not true but what if it was
If you try to train a skill with 1000 people in a system and hit the "start training" option more than once, the skill actually starts to un-train. This is true. |

You can make a working flamethrower with a cheap fire extinguisher and some common tools and some gasoline. Ah, and be SURE not to use diesel or something very bad will happen to you.
Anyway, I remember when if you jumped a gate the same time a skill train finished it would reset. Happened to a friend of mine on BS 5. No idea if they fixed this yet or not. The lag/skill thing...sounds almost as scary. |

Out of your urinary tract? That sounds extraordinarily painful. -- (Sarcastic mission running veteran, 4+ years)

Subtle lag whine. I almost didn't get it.
It appears in your lag, the skill training was indeed working as intended |

No, I was monitoring it with evemon it was going on and off as it processed all the "train skill" orders I passed.
It just baffle the mind a "train skill" order would stop training... |

Yeah, I hate the fact that unavailable menu options are simply removed, not greyed out as they should be, leading to these kinds of problems.

Buy the E-ON #012 and read the article about lag, then come back here and tell us how stupid you really are... |
