Tempest is a popular choice. You might not think so when you look at the hordes of n00bs whining about it but it is CHEAP, can fit SB (byebye ecm drones), NEUT (makes anything cry), full tackle (webs, points, mwd) and has good neut resistance (no cap use for weapons). In soloing one of the key things is versitility (nr 4 on your list). Tempest wins that by good amount compared to many ships.

you are right about the whining....I thought the tempest sucked because i saw SO MANY threads about its dps being crap and all that....I never flew one so I really dunno...

Why not use a Domi? It's cheap, and it's an old war horse. I have seen a friends kill mail of him alone in a Domi fighting against several ships and he kicked thier asses with nuets and drones. He had to leave eventually as he ran out of cap booster charges.

Watch some pvp movies, do some pvp and then call someone names on the forum kiddo.

The domi is a good ship for solo pvp, my skills just dont match it, i cant use the hybridz. would a domi plus full rack of neuts work? |

The Hyperion is probably the best.
Peronally i prefer the Tempest. Its dps still isnt brilliant (if not fit for dps), but its able to be incredibly versatile and you wont get 1v1's vs other skilled battleship pilots often.
Double neuts with a edge in agility and med slot choice give you the ability to hurt pilots flying smaller ships and tbh thats what your doing with it most of the time.
