So I just fitted one of my frigs with hyperspatial velocity optimizers (they give a bump to in warp speed). I can now warp at 19.44 AU. I have noticed I warp to many locations much faster, but I was wondering if anyone has a conversion chart for warp speeds (and times it takes to warp certain distances)? Also is there an upper limit on warp speed?
I want a ship to be able to respond rapidly from many, many jumps away without having to waste hours of my play time getting from point a - b. "From Hell's heart I stab at thee, for hates sake I spit my last breath at thee." |

Upper limit: Whatever the fastest warpers can be rigged to. Time it takes to warp: align-time + time coming in and out of warp + remaining distance diveded by your warpspeed = time spent travelling
With so many different factors involved, it is pointless to figure out how long it takes. Just accept the fact that once rigged for speed, this is as fast as you're gonna get. And when rigged for speed, you won't exactly rig for combat, so you aren't much use on the field when you're the first one to arrive and the first one to die

yeh your just about pushing the upper limit on warp speed there. Ive tried a malediction and a cov ops with the hyperspatial velocity rigs and only get 19.5 au a second max.
One of the main issues with warp speeds is that for high warp speeds its rare that you will reach your maximum. No matter what you maximum speed is you appear to accelerate in warp at the same rate and so for a number of warps your max speed wont be reached. You will only really notice the difference in areas with lots of very long warps of 150au+

Fit a slot 6 hardwiring, Rogue HY-2, and 2 T2 rigs, Hyperspatial Velocity Optimizer II, on any ship that has a base of 13.5 AU/S. That will give you a warpspeed of 24.258 AU/S. This ship will be able to warp really fast, but it's not really that awesome...

My rigged ship is a covert ops ship. My goal is to be able to warp around cloaked checking all the belts in a system and do it as quick as possible. Hopefully it will cut down on time spent between jumps (ie 15-20+ trips). "From Hell's heart I stab at thee, for hates sake I spit my last breath at thee." |

Unfortunately, as stated above, I've found that the majority of time that I'm in warp is during the acceleration and deceleration parts of warping, and there's nothing you can do to reduce that.
So pushing the upper bounds of warp speed is kinda pointless in my opinion, unless you frequently find yourself making numerous 100+AU warps or you really, REALLY need that extra second or two to shake off pursuers. ---
