Edited by: DjLowballer on 08/10/2008 22:11:07 Who am I? I am everyone and no one. I am the backbone of eve. I am the cargo hauler who makes your items move about the galaxy. I am the little name next to the item in the market window. I am the slow ship clearing the salvage off of your mess. I am the friendly person in that random system who puts a smile on your face for a brief moment. I am the idiot who walked into you gatecamp.
Most people in EvE fight for the individual glory, to rise and be the next story featured on IGN or EON, I fight for collective greatness. In all of my eve lives I have been just another cog in the great machine of the universe. Never have I ever killed another player, nor have I ever done more in a firefight than scare off ore thieves. I have no big scams to date, nor have I ever been featured as a great industrialist. Like most of eve I am just a simple man struggling to make ends meet. My glory lies in those moments where I see the cap ship that I contributed to roll out, or when my corp can expand to another system and live more comfortably.
I am DjLowballer(second account DjHighballer), pilot for Stormtrooper Corps, member of the mostly harmless alliance and I would like to be elected to the CSM to represent you the everymen of EvE.
To me EvE is something special, it is freedom in a world where MMO now means Everquest clones. Our universe is an amazing entity that deserves so much more credit than the mainstream gives it. I would like the chance to help give it the care and guidance it deserves. EvE is not like other games where the Developers crap out some content, we eat it, then beg for more. No EvE is a sandbox where CCP hands us toys and we figure out how WE want to use them. We as capsule pilots are as much an intregal part of the world as the ships we fly in. As such our input and thoughts are VITAL to the continued life of our game. Without us, there is just a bunch of junk on a server in Iceland sitting around being lame.
I have been playing since near launch, but my time is divided into two lives. My first life was with my old account. I was inspired by so many stories in eve that I had to get in on the action. I sucked. I fell into the young dumb, big is better ship mold. It ended up in the end with me trained on BS, and Freighters, but flat broke. In university I had no money for books so I sold my account on ebay and to this day still feel a tinge of sorrow when I pass my old character from time to time.
My second age this current account and its sister(DjHighballer). I started out right this time, building off learning skills and focusing on being good at a ship before moving to a new class. As such I have been infinitely more profitable and satisified. My playtime is "On Call". You must understand my corp is Communist. We are one entity, fighting to collectively improve in the universe. As such there is no need for me to grind isk, or run missions, or really do anything for myself. Instead I come when its time and participate in corp events. This might sound strange to outsiders, but it actually makes my time in EvE more meaningful. I am always having fun and have a strong sense of unity with the corp.
My candidacy is based on the idea that a council of the people should actually have at least one of the working class as a member. Sure I dont have the credentials of the lord of the goonswarm, nor am I a Chibbra. My viewpoint is just from the trenches. I do have views as you can see, but these pale in comparison to the voice of the people. As one of your CSM Electorate I would be your voice.

Edited by: DjLowballer on 08/10/2008 22:12:30 When I say for the people I mean LITERALLY for you. Drop me an email, let me know how things are. Stop me during my travels and just let me know how your experience in eve is going. If you can be civil give me a call .Seriously (443) 569-3684 or 089 4516 2935 for the euro inclined) . I will do whatever it takes to help get your ideas into the hand of CCP Devs. I cannot promise that I will be able to change their minds, but I can promise they will at least get sick of hearing me talk :) If elected I am able to devote about 25-30 hours a week to representing your interests. If there is more to be done, I could squeeze a little more out on the weekends. I know this is a humble amount, but I promise my time will be well spent. I will also be available to schedule interviews with individuals who have a particular concern or question.
So when you cast that vote soon, what will it be. For an individual working as a representative for his people or for a voice with the thoughts of 200,000 players? I hope you give me a chance!

Not a lot of informational content to your posts re what you'll actually do, therefore I have questions:
1)What's your pet peeve/project that you are looking to address?
2)What do you think is most wrong with 0.0 and what, if any, plans do you have that might rectify it?
3)Just like question 2 but about Empire instead.
4)What do you think were the failures of the first CSM and how do you think you'll avoid them?
5)What do you think were the successes of the first CSM and how would you seek to build on them?
6)If you could change/fix one thing about the game, what would it be?
7)What are your thoughts on rampant proliferation of Supercaps?

I just read 2 posts from you and I've still no idea why I should vote for you
Start with the basics: What would you offer over other candidates?
