I've been runing missions for the caldari navy and have a 7 in standings with the navy I recently started with a new agent in the security dep. with a caldari navy storyline agent 2jumps out did the 16 miss.and waited for my eve mail insted of geting the storyline agent i got an agent from a different corp in the same system as the caldari navy storyline agent mmmm... why???? should i not have gotten the storyline agent from the navy as b-4
i want it this way bcouse...
regular agent+storyline=faction&corp standing (yes-no-maybeso) thx in advance for any help

You get the storyline mission from the closest agent to the location where you got your 16th mission. If two storyline agents are equidistant, you get one or the other at random.

To extrapolate more on what FT said, you will always get a storyline mission from the nearest storyline agent from the same Faction that you did your normal missions for.
One way to work the system is to do 15 missions for the corp you want to raise standing with, then do the 16th mission for an agent in the same faction that is right next to a storyline agent you want a storyline mission from.

In the same system counts as "equidistant," even if the distance is zero jumps. Can you find a system with only the one storyline agent in it? That'd work.
