The English PM is seizing Icelandic company assets in the UK as a response to Iceland locking down UK savings in Icelendic banks.

CCP are tied up in Euros and USDollars. They have said they have little or no assets in Icelandic banks.
I dont think this will be an issue, lol, siezing servers.

And in all likelihood the actual physical server hardware is owned by a UK shell company who leases access to them back to "CCP hf" at whatever rate makes the books look best. The only CCP asset in that case would be the software loaded onto the servers themselves, and that cannot be seized in any meaningful way.

It doesn't matter which currency/country the CCP piggy bank is in. They can have 90% of their liquidity in the Bahamas for all I care. The fact is, if they are an Icelandic registered company, with assets in the UK, as in their UK offices, and the UK bank accounts which they use to pay their staff with, then the above statement is an indirect threat to those assets.
It is simply a case of how the company is recognised. ú900m of UK goverment money (council investmenst) could be up in smoke. It is a shit load for the goverment 'not' to try and recover, and we are not talking about private invests which the goverment is already trying to ally fears over.
As the Icelandic finanical system has taken it up the arse in the last few days, threatening to shut down Icelandic based companies and futher **** that situation is a 'cold war' moment for their economy.
Originally by: Iceland's prime minister Geir Haarde Mr Haarde, asked if he felt there was a crisis in relations between Britain and Iceland, said: "I thought so for a few minutes this morning when I realised that a terrorist law was being applied against us.
"That was not very pleasant. I'm afraid that not many governments would have taken that very kindly, to be put in that category and I told the chancellor that we were not pleased with that."
The simple fact is that the threat has been issued, CCP have the cluster in the threat area, and we want to know if that threat, if not over the short term, but medium/long teams could cause disruption. As a subcriber to this service I have the right to ask questions. Incase you haven't notice, the global economy is a bit ****ed. Spack.
Admittidly, I would have posted with a different topic.

There are threads on this issue in Out of Pod Experience.
TQ currently has over 30,000 players logged in so I think the claims of a seizure may not be quite true

And that's pretty much all the rights you have in this matter. CCP is not obligated to answer those questions, as per the EULA
Quote: NO WARRANTIES The Software, System, Game and all Game Content, and all other services and material provided in connection therewith, are provided "AS IS," with all faults, and without warranty of any kind. You assume all risk of use and all risk associated with accessing the System and playing the Game.
CCP disclaims all warranties, whether express or implied, including without limitation the warranties of merchantability, fitness for particular purpose and non-infringement. There is no warranty against interference with your enjoyment of the Game. CCP does not warrant that the operation of the System or your access to the System, or that your use of the Software, will be uninterrupted or error-free, nor that the System or Software will be compatible with your hardware and software.
While CCP attempts to have the System available at most times, CCP does not guarantee that the System will always be available, or that the System will not become unavailable during Game play. The System may become unavailable for a number of reasons, including without limitation during the performance of maintenance to the System, for the implementation of new software, for emergency situations and due to equipment or telecommunications failures.
In short - If the servers are taken into custody by the british government, there's nothing CCP MUST do for you, despite being a paying customer...
