this for fleets. If you want something a little more versatile for less nichey work: Swap a tracking computer and sensor booster for 2 tank mods, drop a rcu for a dcu, and swap the hybrid rigs for resists rigs.
Enjoy.. Awesome EVE history

I knew that was coming Merin. I'm sad you beat me to it. ;-)
I do recommend a bit of tank though... maybe a damage control and -1 locus.

thats what the Rokh is good at. . .outside of large scale fleet pvp, the Rokh just does not cut it - and the speed changes (no matter how large or small) is not going to bring back small scale BB pvp except in Empire piracy, where I would also say. . .the setup above is actually the best for. . . |

As long as you have a tackler, try this;
8 x Neutron Cannon II
1 x 100MN MWD II 3 x Large Shield Extender II 2 x Invul Field II
3 x Mag Field Stab II 1 x Damage Control II 1 x Power Diag II
3 x Core Defence Field Extender II
5 x Vespa EC-600 drones

Edited by: Furb Killer on 10/10/2008 08:10:55 I decided few days back after getting t2 large blasters to also train skill for rokh, only takes me about 2 weeks total. I EFT'ed myself a setup pretty much like that one, however i wonder if i should swap one LSE for a cap booster.
And of course t1 rigs...

Why just a super pvp rokh? Why not a Super Mega PVP Rokh? Or a Super Ultra Mega PVP Rokh? Or even better, a Super Ultra Mega Hyper Extreme PWNAGE-Rokh 9000?

Haha my bad, a little bit over zealous with the T2 rigs there. If you're going to fit a cap booster imo you might as well go for a full active tank:-
Mids
1 x 100MN MWD II 2 x Invul II 1 x Heavy Electrochem Cap Booster 1 x XL Shield Booster II 1 x Shield Boost Amp II
Question then is whether its better to go for buffer rigs or shield booster rigs... |

No need to go active tank immediatly. But a buffer rokh without injector is low on cap.
Plate mega also fits cap booster and no reppers.

I don't have tech II large hybrid gun skills. But I had some extra isk laying around.
I tried this fit. And BTW the rokh is so much easier to fit than a Raven to me. Hope AWU to 5 will make a difference (20 days).
4 X Seige launchers
4X heavy unstable power flux
2 heavy cap injectors, XL Booster, SBA, Invul X 2
2 BCUs, 2 PDU, inertial damp
2 shield boost acceration rigs 1 anti EM screen
Haven't tested it yet. Mostly exploring the active shield tank even tho the forums are all about buffer.
Want to see if the 2 cap injectors can keep up with the booster and the 4 nuets.
If not I'll save the hull till I get tech II hybrids.
Sadly I'm again of the opinion that armor tanking is >>> than shield tanking. Much easier to buffer and then add the ease of spider tanking to it plus add a single personal rep. Shield tanking limited by both powergrid and CPU. Generally sucks. That's with over a year of pure Caldari training vs. months of Gallente training. Kinda game over.

Edited by: Furb Killer on 10/10/2008 16:27:54 Gallente ships are imo preferable when you also want tackle stuff. If not, shield tanking is not worse than armor tanking.
Try to get a megathron to 150k EHP and still having decent dps. Shield tanking requires far less PG than armor tanking, and in general caldari ships got plenty of cpu, it shouldnt be a problem for a rokh. Meanwhile basicly every megathron setup got a lack of cpu. |

If you're just looking for a regular PvP Rokh, most of the above setups are fine...but if you're looking for a SUPER PvP Rokh, only the following will do:
Lows: 2 x Cormack's Modified Mag Stabs 3 x Republic Overdrive Injectors
Mids: 3 x Cormack's Modified Tracking Comps (Speed) 1 x Cormack's Modified Sensor Booster (Scan Res) 1 x Gist X-type 100MN MWD 1 x Chelm's Modified Heavy Cap Booster (800's)
Highs: 8 x Setele's Modified Duel 250's (Dread Guristas AM of course)
Rigs: 2 x Polycarb II's 1 x Low-Friction Nozzle II
Implants: Full Snake Set Shaqil's Speed Enhancer Zor's Custom Nav Hyper-link Pashan's Turret Customization Mindlink Eifyr & Co. 'Rogue" MY-2
Speed: 5132 m/s Align: 9 seconds DPS: 608 (just shy of a 2000 Alpha Strike) Tracking: .053 Cap: Stable while the booster has charges, a minute and a half dry.
EFT is FUN!
Look ma, I nano'd a Rokh!

BEHOLD MY MANY AND VARIED LOW-SEC ROKH SETUPS! You can retrofit these with a MWD with some jiggery pokery but unless you're out in 0.0 or (for some suicidal reason) out solo without a scout it's not needed.
ACTIVE TANK VARIANT
HIGHS: 8 x Neutron Blaster Cannon II (Navy AM, Null)
MEDS: 1 x X-L Shield Booster II 1 x Shield Boost Amp II 1 x Heavy Cap Booster II 2 x Invul Field II 1 x ECCM - Gravimetric II
LOWS: 3 x Mag Field Stab II 1 x Power Diag II 1 x Damage Control II
RIGS: 1 x Anti-EM Screen I 2 x Core Defence Cap safeguard I
DRONES: 5 x Vespa EC-600
Needs max fitting skills unless you want to drop the PDS for a RCU (which will then fit with AWU 4). Puts out about 855dps with navy AM and tanks almost as much as long as the cap holds. The absolute definition of 'tank and spank'. I'm a big fan of ECCM on my damage dealers, whilst ECM drones can be a big help when unleashed amongst an enemy gang. Null will see you scoring hits up to 32km.
BUFFER TANKED VARIANT
HIGHS: 8 x Neutron Blaster Cannon II (Navy AM, Null)
MEDS: 3 x LSE II 2 x Invul Field II 1 x ECCM - Gravimetric II
LOWS: 3 x Mag Field Stab II 1 x Power Diag II 1 x Damage Control II
RIGS: 3 x Core Defence Field Extender I
DRONES: 5 x Vespa EC-600
Same great dps but trades the active tank for 32k+ shields with solid resists. Like a plate tank but BETTER(!) since shields regenerate (no getting killed by a single crow over 4 hours) and don't gimp your agility. This is somewhat offset by the Rokh being less agile than a sickly hippo on a t****ze. Better for very big fights where primaries tend to melt fast.
SNIPER VARIANT
HIGHS: 8 x 425mm Railgun II (Navy Lead, Navy Thorium, Navy AM)
MEDS: 1 x LSE II 2 x Tracking Comp II (Optimal Range) 3 x Sensor Booster II (2 x Scan Res, 1 x Targeting Range)
LOWS: 3 x Mag Field Stab II 1 x RCU II 1 x Damage Control II
RIGS: 1 x Ancillary Current Router I 2 x Hybrid Locus Coordinator I
DRONES: 5 x Valkyrie II OR a ****ton of Warrior II's - if you get tackled by a 'ceptor/nanoHAC
Again, VERY hard to fit (Requires AWU 5), but using navy Thorium gives you 415dps at 160k optimal (+30k falloff), with none of the tracking penalties of using Spike. Thorium also hits much harder than Spike, so your targets will feel it. Even AM will punch out to 120km (!), while lead will give you an optimal of 180km - same as the lock range. This isn't strictly a fleet setup (no MWD, not DD proof) but is good but shoving off gate in lowsec to add some firepower in relative safety and without the sentries ruining your shit. If you manage to lock a nanoHAC who's not being careful enough tackling your chums at the gate he'll soon panic (protip: stay aligned if he comes for you at a funky angle like a pro). ECCM is nice, but railgun dmg is just lousy, u need evey scrap of dps hence the need for 3 dmg mods. Just either fit an rcu + eccm in low or swap LSE for another eccm (moral of the story: keep ze dmg modz!) Awesome EVE history
