This is something IMO needs to be nerfed.
The ability to kill the a cyno jammer with POS guns or even kill it for that matter is getting out of hand. Fleets that take down the jammer risk quite a bit and to save a jammer the same risk should be implied. You should not beable to jump on the POS guns and go to town. 1 Person can have the jammer replace in a few hours by doing this.
The jammer should have to stay at the tower it is on till it is either repaired of the tower is killed. This makes it so if an attacker is smart and plans an attack on a weak jammer the defender pays the price by having to put more on the line to save it. Even if it is on a very good tower it makes it a bit easier to take back down as scrams/webs will be offline the next time if the tower is reinfored, thus making the defenders have to save it and not sit in a POS.
The preemptive strike on people who say "blah blah"
- Incap the guns, well ok but it requires less time and less risk to repair a few guns to shoot the jammer, so incapping the mods still doesn't work unless you can sit there 23/7 watching the jammer.
- Well you should commit fully to the system after the jammer is gone, well sometimes people go after more then one system or non-station systems so this isn't always feasible.

You can even attack the POS with the POS guns.
This happened with TRI, when they tried to keep a POS shield below 50% so Smashkill wouldnt be able to change stront timer.
If I remember it correctly, Smashkill shotting their own POS while TRI was repping it.. |
