I was wondering if anyone knew where (or if) I could get the models of the ships for EVE. (As in the computer models)

You can extract them, but never bothered to find out how. Some people have/had ship models in their signatures, so you're best to ask around on the eve GFX forum (check the OOPE forum for the link).

There's an EVE tri exporter i saw some time ago, i don't know if it works with the dx9 models though

There's a modeler community living in the tri exporter thread in the tech forum, go there for all your model / modeling needs.

You can't get the models from a site, since that would be publishing copyrighted material. But you can do it for yourself.

I've been playing around with the ship models a bit.
This is a Rifter in some random HDRI tutorial for example. 
Complete with illumination, occlusion and normal mapping.
I'm pretty much a 3d noob, but I might be able to help.
So, feel free to look me up ingame.
