Seems simple, but I almost started towards the Rohrqal before I realized it was umm special.
I am aware that freighters can't open jetcans.
Can they open "loot" (the items dropped from ships that others in their fleet or corp killed)?
Any other freighter weirdness I need to know about?

They can use stargates and dock with stations (I asked the same question in here, about a year ago), and fly in high-sec, but as far as I know they can't open "loot". I could be wrong on that specific item, though.

So far correct, but with one exception: They can loot the wrecks of other freighters. ----------------------------------------------

Yep, this is correct - strangley enough, to loot a freighter, you need a ummm, a freighter......so CCP have made this one exception. ______________________ Isn't it time you learned to fight back? Agony Unleashed Home of the PvP University.

I'm not sure I'd exactly call this an exception - well, not a strange one, anyway ;-) I could accept as an explanation that items in freighter wrecks are packaged in such a way that only another freighter would have the equipment/hatches/cargohold to be able to handle those items.
