I know it was mention a long time ago (in a galaxy far far away ) but could we please have a shortcut to switch high - med - low slowts??? (EX alt-1 for high alt-2 for med and alt-3 for low)
These three extremely little blue buttons are really hard to click and too close to the speed gauge Yesterday I've lost a kestrel cause I clicked the speed gauge instead of the button!!! (no whining here it was my mistake).
Please, please, pretty please with sugar on top???? "FIn accordance with the principles of double-think it does not matter if the war is not real. For when it is, victory is not possible. The war is not meant to be won, but it is meant to be continuous.Fv George Orwell t1984v |

If you press f1-f8 you activate the corresponding high slot, alt + f1-f8 your med slots and shift + f1-f8 your low slots ;) hope that helps :D

Actually med slots work only up to alt-f4.
I use that but sometimes i need to recheck that everything is working (I have a really bad short term memory ) "FIn accordance with the principles of double-think it does not matter if the war is not real. Same here. Also in engagement I often end up chaning my ships velocity when im in a hurry to switch between high, med slots. And do we even need a button to see low slot items?
I have the body of a supermodel. I just can't remember where I left it... |

A button for slow slot items is always needed. Esp now with the armor tanking getting hot. Also, i'm getting the old 'offline modules' bug again. And i hate to see 66% of my cap go away when i activate a shield hardener while engaging a Guardian Enforcer

I'd rather just see all slots displayed at once and not have to worry about switching. 24 slots shouldn't eat up too much screenspace.

Hmmm... kinda, sorta like the quickbar across the bottom of your screen as in the game neverwinter nights. drag and drop your mods into the corresponding F keys boxes.

Edited by: Atrioss X on 01/07/2004 05:13:43 Wasn't there a proposal in Shiva to have all slots viewable at the same time?

Might check to see if you have something else running that is screwing up key-combo's
Mid slots work fine up to F7 that i've used.

Reminds me of a little problem I had with my video drivers. I have a dual output Radeon, ie.. VGA and S-video at same time. One day I was playing EVE when suddenly my monitor went blank, said "No signal", but everything else about the computer seemed to be working.
Anyway I rebooted computer in safe mode blah blah blah worked fine. Go figure. Hit the computer reset button and started up windows fine. So I log back in to EVE. I'm doing my thing, mining I think it was. Then suddenly again, monitor blanks: no signal. This time I think to turn on the TV that is connected via S-video to my computer. Apparently the TV is getting a signal just fine. By now I'm thinking my good old 9500 Pro is on the way to destruction.
So I'm messing around with the video driver settings while looking at them on a TV where I can't even read the text. Then, ta-da, the monitor comes back on.
The moral of the story: some Radeon drivers come with a preset hotkey of <alt-F3> to "Switch between displays"
I had been hitting one of my mid slots in EVE which the drivers caused the VGA signal to shut off and redirect to the S-video. Luckily I found a way to change that preset key combination.
EDIT: And btw, <alt-F4> works in game without killing EVE, at least on my computer.

Thx for the tip m8
I think is time to reinstall my eve client (alt-f5 to alt-f8 used to work for me on Chaos but not on TQ)
Regarding seeing all the slots at the same time.....that would be nice also, but I thought about the shortcut because it seems to be an easier solution (ie faster to implement)
I hope the devs c this and give us some kind of feedback "FIn accordance with the principles of double-think it does not matter if the war is not real. For when it is, victory is not possible. The war is not meant to be won, but it is meant to be continuous.Fv George Orwell t1984v |
