If i am hauling some ore for a corp-mate, how do you go about it?
Obviously, i cant just take his ore back to the station and drop it, cause it would be in my items hangar, and not his.
do you put the ore in the corp hangar?
what if he is not in my corp, we are just friends?
basically what are the procedures involved with hauling someone's stuff, whether it be ore or something else, to insure they get it after i haul it for them. _____________________ *warp drive acti...wait, where are we going?*

Either a) wait for them to be in station with you. Right click -> Trade on the Guests tab, or
b) Put ore in item hangar -> Go to CONTRACTS -> Create New Contract -> Item Exchange -> Private (enter his name) -> select ore -> Finish contract -> Profit

You could drop it in a corp hangar, just have to make sure he has access to the hangar you drop it in.
If you have proper rights, you can drop it directly in his hangar (as long as there is a corp hangar at the station) by clicking "corp hangar," then "member hangars" at the bottom of the corp hangar window, and selecting his name from the list.
If you are getting paid for hauling it, and want to make sure you get paid, use contracts. ----------------------------------------------------

Almost correct - the "member hangers" button is simply a view only security measure though. To deliver something from a corp hanger you right click on the item(s) and choose "deliver" or "deliver to" (I'm at work so I can't check), then choose member hanger and choose from the list.
Corp hanger is a good choice if it's a small well trusted group and the appropriate rights are granted, otherwise direct trade through the guests tab or contracts is best.

True, most haulers in a corporation would never charge a fee to haul, beyond any costs associated with the op. For my corp, an alt of mine flys every hauler from Industrial to Transport to Freighter. When hauling in a freighter, one must be especially wary- the damn things cost close to or over a billion ISK. When hauling in Lowsec, think about investing in a Transport ship. When it comes to the ability to take damage, they make the standard Industrial look like a frigate. Fly Safe. -Pax ----------------------------------------- Pax de magnus vis vires e solum via. You can just left click then right click the ore and create contract, saves you finding the station and selecting it. Bit quicker. :) Also works by alt + left clicking then right clicking any of the selected items as well to select multiple items

Wait a minute. I own a Providence and I'm sure that with a freighter you cant pick up cargo in space. You can only transport from station to station or to a POS. So how could you use a freighter for hauling. If I overlooked something, please fill me in...........

Hauling in this sense being ore from station to station. You are correct, you can not pick up anything from space in a freighter. However, they are the best way to move large amounts of ore from one place to another, and can be used to transport the ore to a higher-priced system... Sorry for the confusion. -Pax ----------------------------------------- Pax de magnus vis vires e solum via. Without strength, there can be no peace.
