Yeah, but what exaclty do you do with 650's at 12km neut range?
Just fitting random conflicting junk in high slots does not make them worth having.

Ah yes. The ability to neut the capacitor (if it's dumb enough to get that close) of one frigate makes up for it sucking in absolutely every other way conceivable.
Im enlightened, and will immediately stop flying my Zealots and Eagles forthwith.

So what is the correct way of using it?
Bearing in mind that before the many and varied indirect nerfs came in I used to be an avid fan of the Muninn. Its always been crap as an AC boat but it used to do damn well as an alpha strike insta gib machine.
Not any ore tho.
And now I can fly a Zealot, which does LITERALLY EVERYTHING better, I see absolutely no reason to ever undock ina Muninn ever again.
So come on.
How should I use a Muninn?

6/3/6 would be perfectly acceptable.
Okay, as a sniper it wouldn't be as good as 5/4/6 but it would at least be an improvement.
Honestly though, what do you want the util slot for on a sniper?

Iv found in 0.0 a cloak comes in handy quite often, especially when you are in open conflict with a neighbor.

Okay, point conceded on the cloak
But anything else on along range setup is stinky when you could be using the slot for another damage mod or sensor booster or something.

A bit of a noob ramble but I think the Muninn is the only HAC balanced right. I think HACs shouldnt completly outclass their cruiser like most do. If you wanna use your money to have an edge go ahaed but you should be faring worse isk/performance wise. This is not true for all HACs except muninn, if you re flying a ishtar for example you re getting much more bang for your money than the vexor... its a great investment.
I think the game would be richer if it was that way.
So yeah dont buff the muninn.. nerf all other T2 ehehe

I have a char that is able to fly the munnin, the zealot and the eagle. I always thought the munnin has an interesting concept, being a glasscannon mroe or less - big alpha, not so much dps and nimble as its a minmatarr ship.
But after spending some time in eft with the munnin, i just cant justify spending isk on the ship when id do alot better in a zealot or eagle - but even if i were pure min. id rather fly a hurricane which is better in every single way but speed.
Maybe ive overlooked something, or youve found a setup that would work in some situations good enough to give me a reason to buy a munnin, god knows id love a reason for that ;) So enlighten us, if you like - i sure would be interested. -

Because giving it 7 turret hardpoints, when all four of its bonuses are keyed to turret use, and then not thinking that people are going to put 7 turrets on it is pretty silly. __________________________________

Minmatar ships have all these missile hardpoints because they then have something else when tracking/range disrupted by their Ammarrian foes. Combined with drones, you can have enough firepower to kill the offending EW ships or any tackler and then get out. --------------- ∞ TQFE

quick bit of EFT warrioring later:
zealot packs 267 dps with a 660 alpha at 139km optimal. Can lock at 138.7 km, so acceptable lock range. fitted with aurora.
Muninn packs 213 dps and and 1384 alpha at 128km range. This is more damage than the zealot, but it cannot lock at these ranges (112km lock with two sensor boosters). this means that its a good alpha sniper, but it has its issus that need adressing. furthermore its very PG tight again and once again the two spare high slots are left empty.
Both fits used 2 locus rigs.
I would disagree with those that say the minmatar already have an autocannon ship in theirt HAC lineup. while the vagabond is a skirmisher and a fight, the muninn would resemble a brawler or a fighter-bomber more closely. Take the "oomph" of the rupture and put it into HAC form would make a ship thats very fun to fly.
But thats just my opinion...

True, making the muninn an ac would not make it the same ship as the Vagabond. Munnin would be a more minmatar like ship (brainless! :P) and the vaga left for tactics and stuff. Though I would like to see a snipermuninn that's worth it. I currently fly one to npc with when others are tanking. I alpha all frigates and kill everything below bs very fast. But indeed, other hacs would be way better to do that job...

I understand most would fit all 7 slots with guns, but if someone wished too, they could still fit utility items. Whether you post in bold text or not, it's an option, that was my point.
