I recently moved into a new WH a few days ago. Running a solo corp to get the hang of things using three different accounts. I had multiple scanning ships but only moved in 1 for the short term. Mistake 1. Then while scanning last night I fell asleep and lost my probes. Mistake 2. The only backups I have are sister's combat scanner which can't be used in my Sister's Core Probe Launcher, the expanded probe launcher is 10 days training time away..
My POS has enough fuel to last 7 days. I honestly haven't seen anyone in the WH since I moved in either. It's going to be a crazy three days while my POS has no shields and I'm waiting for training to finish to equip the probe launcher.
What do you think my odds are? My POS is large with over a bil in arrays, sleeper loot, minerals, ships and BPO's inside. |

unbidden visitors rarely check local POS's. as long as you put the most expensive stuff in your transports and log out in them, you will likely be ok. |

That does not sound like an attractive situation, altho I expect most w-space dwellers have done some or all of the GǣoopsGǥ things that have lead to your current predicament GǪ just not altogether in such a sequence. The extent of your poor planning and preparation does standout though.
If you only have one toon in the system youGÇÖre prolly reliant on the goodwill of some visiting scanner, because you canGÇÖt loadup the hauler and reliably retain the scanner ship for ten days if your POS only has fuel for 7-days. Just stay online in system in your scanner ship for as long as you can, and request help from time to time. You will probably find that helpful souls outnumber hostile opportunists, but the difficulty is knowing in advance which is which. Worst outcome is you get ganked and all in-system is pretty well lost. Best case is that you get to hisec and get more probes and donGÇÖt lose anything.
If you have 2 toons, one able to fly the DST and one the scanner, then IGÇÖd suggest offlining the POS and loading what you can of the SMAs, CHAs, goodies, and fuel into the DST. Priority would go to SMA (to refit the scanner when your training time is up) and fuel (to restart the POS). An offline tower with offline defence mods but no SMA/CHA is not going to be a very attractive gank target. Once you have waited enough time (sounds like at least 3 GÇô 4 days) for POS-fuel time to be at least as long a skill-training time, then you can online the POS again. Worst outcome is that the tower gets joy-killed and you have nothing to resurrect when your training time is done. Best case is that it all turns out well and you only lose the stuff in excess of your DSTGÇÖs cargohold volume.
If you have giant secure containers you can anchor them at a safe-spot and salt away some of your stuff while you wait.
Assuming this does not put you off w-space, please do make sure you have some backup scanner alts in your system at all times. Early on mine were minimal skills and in T1 frigates, bare minimum to be able to find a wormhole if I got ganked out to my hisec med-clone. Now theyGÇÖre all 5-4-4-4 skilled and flying covops frigs GǪ but I still have at least one as backup at all times, and thankfully have never needed them.
Good luck.
We can build and sell pretty much every ship. Check my bio for details. Our pirate epic arc completion packages really are very good: https://forums.eveonline.com/default.aspx?g=posts&t=12973&find=unread |

Three characters. Two of which have all scanning skills to 4. I have a combat character. A production/hauler. And a miner/hauler. I have two DST's ready to go. I like your advice and that's def. the route I'm going to be taking as soon as I refine all this ore I have.

You should always have more probes. Always. It is literally the most important thing to have in a wormhole. Do you know what your static is? |

Probably going to take my POS down tomorrow after I finish refining what I can. Then put it back online Saturday or Sunday. Mise well get it over with I imagine. I hope I can pull this off! |

Next time buy a sisters core or expanded probe launcher. The amount of time you save > the 30m they cost. |

We are living in a C3 with static low. General rule of thumb is that we have 30 days fuel in the POS plus another 30-60 days fuel spare for each POS on top of that You will need alot more than 7 days......that would make me very twitchy indeed. |

Just Offline the POS while you are online and able to keep an eye on it, if nothing pops on Scanner for a day, you just saved a day's fuel, even a few hours is still OK and Online it when you go to sleep or AFK for long periods of time.
This should save and minimize the last 3 - 4 days of no fuel, to maybe 1, 1,5 day, depends on how much you can sit online looking at scanner. Also Cargo Containers in safe spots are a good idea as they can't be scanned down. |

If your planning on refitting the probe launcher at your POS you can't when the fuel runs out so you will have to offline it early to save fuel then online it once you get the skills to refit it. |

this, and make sure to unanchor and scoop all the stuff that lives under the POS field (everything has to be empty though). It's very easy to pop these modules. Keep fuel in the POS though to save on room in haulers if that's a concern, no stranger will be able to take it out. |
